Default Target find!!

Hi girls,
Went to Target yesterday and found in the dollar spot little mini-looking type lunchboxes filled with candy or gum. But I am thinking make great stamping items!! They are about 5 inches big and I think you creative girls can come up with super ideas for them. I know there has been talk about Target doing away with the dollar spot, but the girl in my Target said they are keeping it and they just but new things out for each season or holiday. Right now theyhave Easter items. Just thought I'd let everyone know. Have a great day!! Mea

Default Target find!!

I also found small staplers with colored staples to fit, lots of post-it notes, lots of scrapbooking supplies including self-adhesive tiny vellum envelopes and alphabet stickers, and tiny little punches (star, circle, swirl, and heart). Needless to say, I came home with a bag full of stuff!

My Target has already placed a bunch of new items in the dollar spot. They have a bunch of items that would be good for embellishments for cards. They say "memory spot" or something like that on them, but no word of archival quality so no promises in your scrapbooks.

I just got back from Target and got little yellow metal buckets that I thought would be cute to stamp Easter stuff on and fill with grass and goodies. I thought I'd use them at a stamp camp. What do I use to stamp on them with, staz on or craft white? Also what can I use to color images in (I'm thinking flowers from Tags & More). I haven't tried it so before I did I wanted to get opinions. Thanks!

You need staz on to stamp on little metal buckets. The craft ink will scratch off once it is dried, even if it is heat set. It is for porous surfaces.

Is there a way to color any images I stamp in? Or is the whole thing just going to have to be outlines? I have black staz on but could get other colors.

You could use Sharpie markers to color in. You could use acrylic paints. Perhaps SU pastels with a blender pen and seal? Or perhaps the SU markers if you carefully seal it afterwards (you need to be careful the sealer doesn't cause the markers to bleed). I have also embossed on the metal buckets. Stamp in Classic Ink and very quickly pour on your clear embossing powder.

Good luck and have fun.

Heidi... I haven't tried it, but I would think Sharpies would work to color on the metal pails. I saw them too. They are cute, cute, cute! I'd love to see what you create when you're done!

I heat embossed the flowers from Burst into Bloom, in purple craft ink and then clear ep. Really dusted up the pail with the embossing buddy, and if any ep remained I just took deep breaths and blew it off!!! I'd post but am having issues..... all my uploads take forever anymore, even with high speed access. Why oh why SCS gods?
