Default Threading beads on gold cord?

Is there a trick to stringing alphabet beads on our gold cord? I can only get one bead on before the end of the cord has gotten too big to thread on the next one. I thought about using a needle and thread, but I'm pretty sure the bead's hole is too tiny for any needle that I have here. I thought maybe some crafty soul out there has been in my position and found a really cool trick .

Default Threading beads on gold cord

I haven't tried to thread beads on cord but when I used to do indian beading, the holes in the beads were so small you needed a special needle to thread them. I found that another way to do it was coat the end of your thread in glue (crystal Effects) roll it between your fingers to get it tight and then let it dry. Once it is dry it works as a needle.

I'm so glad that I asked, because I wouldn't have thought of using Crystal Effects! I'll give that a shot tonight. Thanks so much for the tip !

The next time you want to try stringing beads, beading needles are really cheap. Guess I just hate having to set my project aside and wait when a cool gadget could solve my problem -- love my gadgets!

Crystal Effects should work ! I have actually dipped cord and hemp in wax before and it worked too!
