Heart Titles and Scrapbook Page???

My biggest problem when making a scrapbook page is creating or having the perfect title. I've purchased many titles or WordArt but never seem to have the right one to put on my Scrapbook page. Does anyone else have this problem. You buy, buy and buy but all I want to do is cut one out and puff...have the perfect page. I want to buy a Cricut Joy or maybe a Cricut Explore 2 but all the YouTube help just don't seem to help me. Am I just making it too complicated on myself? I see an Svg file that I would love to use...but does that mean I just print it out??? I would like a title like "You get it from your Mama. Do I just print it??? See, I'm so confused. Do I even make sense? Maybe I don't understand how svg files work. Help me understand please. Sheila

I was going to suggest asking in the Scrapbooking forum, but I see that you've already discovered that, lol. Good luck!

I know almost everyone uses titles in their scrapbooking, but do you need them to tell the story? Titles on scrapbook pages often remind me of ads. Can you find ways to incorporate journaling, decorative or plain, to tell the story? Or use relevant images where the title would be?

Have you considered using a pretty font in your computer to write out the phrase you want ... then print in a large size? Some printers can handle printing on card stock.

Or, I've seen some titles created with alphabet stickers. I've certainly seen ladies stocking up on packages of those at scapbooking shows previously.

While I do not have a Circuit, my Brother SNC includes a few built-in alphabets that we have used to cut words & letters from sticky vinyl. I'm betting Cricut items can do that sort of thing. You might have some fun googling videos on the Circuit Joy or others unless someone in the know chimes in here.

I usually get the title from my journaling. I would say that I almost always cut out my own titles using my die-cut machines. I use sticker letters occasionally, and I sometimes print them out from my computer. All of the pages in my albums have titles. The only exceptions are the pages in my mini albums. They don't always need titles. This is what works for me. Everyone is different, and you have to do what works for you. There are no rules. Have fun!

I make my titles relatively small, with just a few words in stamps. If I had a Cricut, I would use more die cut letters.

Thanks for all f your responses. I'm going to take the plunge and get the Circuit Joy. It fits my needs and after doing my research on YouTube I know I can create beautiful projects.

Thanks again, Sheila

Hi Sheila. Check out this forum as well. July Scrappin' and Chatter - sbc20jul - Splitcoaststampers Even if you don't want to participate in the challenges, these ladies would be more than helpful in giving you tons of ideas for titles! And they would love to chat with you too! I usually digi scrap (when I have time) so I normally use and manipulate fonts to create titles for my pages. Good luck!

I use my Silhouette Cameo for a lot of my titles. If you search their design store, you can get lots of ideas and sayings.
Some times I just make up my title and “design “ it in the Silhouette software , theN print it
Or sometimes I cut the letters out from cardstock or vinyl.
