7. Justification to make your quarterly sales ("hey..I NEED that!")
6. Splitcoaststampers makes you want to buy everything, why not buy from yourself and get credit for it!
5. If you have friends that stamp, they can also purchase from you to help with the minimum.
4. You only have to do workshops if you want to.
3. It's fun!
2. Able to buy sets ahead of time (mini-catalog, SAB, etc.)

I hope you're not looking for a Letterman type list.

10. The starter kit is only $199 for $355 worth of product
9. Great demo support and website and stampin success magazine
8. If you ever need extra cash - host a show, it's INSTANT income - no waiting for a check
7. Your purchases have the potential to become tax deductible
6. You can go to Regionals and Convention
5. demo appreciation specials (we all got Sincere Salutations FREE)
4. You will receive 30% instant income on your first order
3. Great Rewards - extra FREE products for certain sales amounts
2. You will save AT LEAST 20% on all of your orders
1. Don't you want that money in your pocket instead of someone else's?

you can save your friends and family money (if you choose)

AND YOU HAVE THE MAKINGS OF A GREAT BUSINESS IF YOU EVER DECIDE TO SWITCH OVER!

you can view the specials before anyone else. you can order mini catalog sets before anyone else.

Great list Melissa! I also like the flexibility of placing orders whenever I want to, instead of waiting for a workshop or asking a demo to do it for me.

Hi Laurie

My advice is do it. Spring into action is a great time to sign up.

I was a customer for about 2 years before I finally made the leap to demo. I just wasn't sure that I would be serious enough about it.

But then I discovered that it is so much fun! You meet new people and get all kinds of goodies. So here is my top 10 things I love about being a demo and think you would too:

1) Free stamps - you get the benefits when you consolidate your orders to a hostess/workshop.

2) Stampin Up! magazines - Stampin Success is full of information that you just don't see in Papercrafts and the others. From how paper is dyed to spotlight on techniques. They give you sales tools/workshop ideas. It is really something I look forward to each month. They are on sale on EBAY for a reason

3) Access to the Demo only sections of SCS!!! These folks are an unbelievable source of encouragement and amazing ideas.

4) Online order entry - I love that you can place an order when the time is right for you regardless of the time.

5) Regionals and Convention - haven't been to any yet but I really love an excuse to travel, stamp and make new friends. Just sounds like fun to me!

6) Education - all kinds of ideas to grow your business, techniques and ways to present a workshop on SU! website.

7) Time to stamp. By being a demo I find that I just stamp more. Whether participating in a swap or prepping for a workshop when you have the "demo" hat on you just take it more serious. Least that is what I have found.

Easy sell! The products really do sell themselves. All you have to do is let the ink do the magic.

9) Other demos - not everyone but most really want to see SU! do well and as a result are very helpful to others just starting out or less informed. Just an awesome bunch of people to be associated with!

10)Opportunity to pre-order stamps before the rest of the world. Gives me the feeling that I am "in the know" or something

Oh and did I mention free stuff! Love that part really do!! You will use every item in your kit and meeting the quarterly minimum is that really NOT hard. But then again I am my own best customer. Good luck and you can't go wrong in my opinion and wish I had done it sooner. Stacey

Hey Laurie!

I too am a hobby demo in Vermont...this is coming up on my one year anniversary.

Aside from the company benefits, I have found that i have learned so much from so many people this year. I love the flexibility of planning my purchases rather than waiting for something to go on sale or clipping the coupons at Michael's...( I still do that) The best part has been helping my friends get started with a new hobby. We are slow but steady, and maybe someday i will be a "real" demo...but for now, it is so great to have some folks around who get as excited as you do about a great page, technique, or idea...

If you are even thinking about it, the kit alone is a super deal! There are lots of neat ladies in the Vermont groups...you will be in good company..look forward to meeting you!

Questions:

What is in the kit?

How complicated is filing your taxes, your Business and Occupation taxes (WA state), your business license etc?
