My sister needs me to make 20 wedding showers invitations for her future sister-in-law's shower by the end of the week (she just called me last night!). It is a tropical wedding, Bahamas, and they do not have any colors. I was thinking about using the couple from the Summer by the Sea set. Do you all have any ideas on what I could use? HELP!!
TIA!
Chris :o)
Perhaps you could go floral with something like Buds and Blossoms in super bright colors. Or, even simply find one of those colorful lei's and strip it of the flowers and showcase one flower per card in some way.
The Bahamas very much feel just like Hawaii--minus the hurricanes at the moment.
QC, I was thinking Tropical Blossoms too! My upline's sister got married on the beach and the invitations were swim trunks with this set...or maybe the shower invited were swim trunks. But anyway the whole wedding was themed around this set
My sister had a "Luau in December" for her birthday party. We used Tropical Blossoms, too! We made purse invitation for the girls and swim trunks for the boys.
what about the on the beach set.....you could put their names in a shaker card with sand? just a thought...or perhaps do the invites in a bottle.... u know, sort of a shipwrecked theme?

I am making wedding invitations for my SIL for her wedding in Mexico this spring. She chose Tropical Fish and is using tempting turqouise as the main color. Along with Only Orange, Pink Passion, Yo Yo Yellow and Gable Green. They turned out pretty cute....I need to post the sample.
a friend of mine just got married on St Thomas this past year, she picked pink passion and only orange for her colors, she had a white dress, the groom a tux and all the groomsmen wore khaki pants, white cotton shirts and sandles. it looked really neat with those two colors though.

Thanks for all of the ideas!!! Unfortunately none of my stamping buddies has the Tropical Blossoms set, and I do not have time to order it! I came up with the a card using the couple from the Summer by the Sea set, and it looks pretty good. I wish the couple had colors to work with. Oh well! Keep the ideas coming! I'm going to work on more ideas today.
You all are great!!! I knew you would be great help!!

I did the invitations for a Luau Themed Bridal shower using the Beautiful Batik Stamp Set and they came out very cute. If you want something not very cartoonish and a little more on the elegant side, I would suggest using Beautiful Batik. Check out the gallery for some examples. The bleach method works very well with this particular stamp set.
