I think that they are pretty much used the same way that Copic's are used ---- I love that they "stretch" my Copics set (that is pretty puny, I must admit. . .)

I only have 20 copics and just use my bics and sharpies to fill in colors that I don't have in copics. I use them all the same way, after all they are all alcohol based markers, the only difference being the tips (and the sharpies smell stronger ).

I use the Bics, and did the video on Youtube : ) They are really good, the biggest complaint I have is that their colors tend to run dark, ie, no soft pastel like colors.

Here is a link to my blog post (which came before the video)

Using good paper is a must, and then playing around with your coloring helps too. I tend to like to go from light to dark (even with copics), but have also done the dark to light as well.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I totally agree, that is why most of my copics are in pastel colors.

Me, too. I went to Hobby Lobby and laboriously got one pastel color at a time with my trusty coupon to fill out my sets of Bics and Sharpies. I am really happy with the results I get though, and I'm especially happy about saving all the $$$!
