Ok....so my challenge this summer was to use some of the retired sets that I couldn't part with over the years. I came up with this card (I know the idea was planted by someone here, but I don't remember who), but I think it is REALLY ugly!!!
What would you do to salvage it and make it a presentable card?
I don't think it is ugly but I do think the panel with the turtle is getting lost in the lovely background (I like the overstamping). Perhaps placing it on a layer to coordinate with the darker ink color would help it stand out more?
I agree with the layer of coordinating paper ~ but I'm thinking that maybe the turtle could be clear embossed~ making it's texture stand out a bit more...
Layering the turtle was going to be my suggestion too! He needs to pop. Maybe use an aqua painter and some green (Wild Wasabi would be my choice) to add highlights to the greenery and the turtle then use that color as a background for the turtle.
