Default Use of blender pens with chalk inks?

Can I use blender pens to apply the new fluid chalk inks the same way I do with classic inks?

a friend of mine tried the blender pens with the refills for the chalk pads, totally broke down the blender pens tip to mush! had to throw them all out!

Any other ideas out there for how to color in images stamped with chalk ink? Particularly for scrapbooks is what I'm looking for.... The chalk inks are just so much easier to use than the craft pads, but there is this dilemma!

What about using just a regular paint brush? you can get cheap brushes at the dollar store.. specify one for each color... and use them over and over..
