Default Using neutral cardstock

I just recently received a cute card from a friend. One of the stamp sets she used was Little Hellos, so I totally want to case the card because I can never think of how to use that set!

The base of the card is in Confetti Tan. I could always sub Kraft, of course. What she did was stamp an image from Little Hellos on Confetti Tan as well, and then layered it on another color and then layered that on the Confetti Tan base. The result being, however, that the image doesn't show through all that that great because of the darkness of the Confetti Tan cs.

My question is this: I've been told that you should should stick with one neutral per card but does that still hold true when you use darker neutrals, such as Kraft? Could I replicate the card but use VV or WW instead to stamp the image on or would that totally be against, um, I don't know, design principles or something?

TIA!

IMO - go for it, as long as it looks good. I used VV with Kraft for my Christmas cards this past year and it looked fine. I think the problem lies with using Naturals White and then adding Confetti white (etc), the differences in the whites become very noticeable. Just my .02. Good luck with your card
