Default Viking is AMAZING!!

I ordered 36 RSVP pens from Viking 3 days ago. I thought I would get a 'step above' the usual RSVP pens for beading and get the retractable ones. Well, dumb me, it gives sooo much less surface to decorate due to the retractable cover. So, I thought I would pay for the shipping, & send them back to Viking and get the regular pens. I called them, and customer service was so great. They told me to just donate these pens to a non-profit organization, and they would ship out the ones I want at no cost to me! She even checked for a sale price - .38 cents each, instead of .49 cents. She even added an extra dozen due to the price difference. So, the total was alot less than I had paid originally. When she asked me if I needed anything else, I thought of the labels for the pens. She helped me find just the right ones that would fit around the pen, and is adding those to the order too - free! The total cost is just what I paid originally, for more stuff!
Can you believe there is service like this anymore? She just asked me to spread a nice word about Viking, so here I am.

I forgot to add, once she found out what I was doing with the pens, she had to get the directions so she could make some herself. By being so genuinely kind, helpful & fun, she really made my day!

you should write a letter to viking - some big deal manager (if you can find one via their website or a board of directors) telling them how happy you are with their customer service. Positive feedback can make all the difference in keeping a good company good!

I'd also make her a pen and send it to her. I sure hope you got her name.

No, I didn't get her name! I thought the very same thing; (send her a pen) - after I hung up! I may call back, and see if they know who I talked with.

They have labels that go around the inside of the pens?? That are the right size?? Awesome. Do you know what the order number is?? I'll have to add them to my next order!

Thanks,

Ain't that the truth! Considering how many hundreds of people here use them for purchasing mono, RSVP pens, etc., could you imagine the benefit to SCS if we had a link to Viking like the one to Amazon on the front page? I just bought mono from them for the first time (along with a couple of other things) and it should be here Thursday via next-day mail! I love the low threshold for free shipping, as I often spend at least $25 whenever I go to an office supply store.

Come on ladies, let's all write Viking the next time we order something and mention SCS when we compliment their great customer service! I had trouble using a discount code when I placed my order this afternoon, and the woman I spoke to when I called was so friendly and helpful!

Oh my!! That would be a great benefit to SCS!! I order SOOOO much from them.

Should we contact viking to let them know that we order because of SCS and they should contact Daven or does it work some other way?

Viking has an affliate program listed on the bottom of their home page. Here is a link, if it works:
http://www.viking.com/renderStaticPa.../affiliate.jsp

Looks like Daven could apply and put a link to Viking on the home page just like the Amazon link and make millions for SCS off of the mono we buy!
