Viking backorders??

I was going to order from Viking, but the items were on backorder . Has anyone had problems receiving any backorder items, do they ship backorders pretty quick? Thanks for any opinions!

I am really taking this personal :? This must have been a stupid question, huh? Thought I would ask here before I ordered.

When you order and something is backordered, do they "charge" you later and just ship/charge when it is delivered??? Is there a long leadtime for backorders (Tombow monoadhesive in particular) I have never used this adhesive and thought I would buy it from Viking since it is such a great price.

Viking ships it's back orders quickly. You can not beat their price on mono. Have no FEAR they are GREAT to order from. Hope this helps.

So far (X X X ... crossed fingers) I have never had anything from Viking on back order... but I am sure they will ship to you immediately after they receive the items. I have placed several orders and never had any problelms receiving my shipments.... and they have always been the next day delivery.

It is my understanding... and I could be wrong here... that a company cannot charge you (your card) for any item until it is available and shipped. I was told this when I had placed an order with another company... several items were on back order... and my card was billed for each and every shipment... one at a time.... sigh... but safer.

Don't hesitate to order from Viking... they are fantastic to work with... Use their 800 number and ask anything you need/want to know... they have always been very helpful.

I ordered the prismacolor pencils and they were backordered, but they came about when they said they would. I was thrilled to get them and at that price, I didn't mind them being a bit later than the rest of my order. I really think Viking cannot be beat.
