I wanted to tell you I went to Walmart. I must be crazy because it is snowing like crazy but I needed a few things. In the clearance isle they had a really nice steel wire file cart for $10. It holds the 12 x 12 files. So I now have storage for my 12 x 12 cs. I will have to take a picture of it once I get it together or take a picture of the box so you can see what it looks like. I couldn't believe it. There were only 4 boxes there. Just thought I would share in case you are going to Walmart and need a file for your cs. It also has shelves for storage so it is perfect. I'll post a picture later tonight.
maybe I'll go and see if ours carries them. I'll check back l;ater for your picture.
oh, thanks for posting the picture, I am definitely checking for something like that at my WalMart. Although if they did have any they are probably all gone now.

I have a chome wire rolling cart that holds 8.5 x 11 paper and 12 x 12 paper (Office Depot, 29.99) but I can't find good 12 x 12 hanging files! I got some, but the bottoms wear out really fast. They look ridiculous because I have taken to using duct tape on the bottom folds. It works, though!

I added the photo. It holds both 12 x 12 & 8 1/2 x 11. For $10 that was a good deal. It has two baskets on the bottom. I did find file folders there but I only got a box of 12 because I knew my husband would flip if he sees another new item. He already flipped about this.
You will love it. I have 2 that I bought from Staples for more than $10.oo
I keep my 12 x 12 solids in one and the prints in the other. I also keep my SU 8 1/2 x 11 in there also. I have a file for each color of SU paper.
I keep my magazines in the baskets.
The only place I found the hanging file folders was at my scrapbook store.
Happy sorting.

I went to wally world this morning and they had them for $26. I know this is cheap but I was hoping for cheaper. I am planning a Walmart shopping night for next week so hopefully they are still there and cheaper.
I just called around to a few Walmarts (quite a few actually) and most of them didn't have it at all and the one that did said that that price was probably an in-store clearance - not a store-wide one. Has anyone else had any luck finding those carts for that price?
OMG. I am so sorry I didn't know it was just an in-store thing. I actually never seen them at this store before. That's why I picked it up yesterday. I haven't put it together yet so I don't know how much 12 x 12 it holds. I only have a little bit so for me it won't be to much of a problem. My dh asked me this morning how much I paid for it and I told him the $10 and he said that on the box there is a red clearance sticker that says $15. So I had to double check the receipt. I only paid $10 for it though. I'm sorry for making you go out and they don't them at that price.
OK Ladies. I know this is DEFINITELY far from being 10.00, but below I am going to post a link to the viking website of the cart that I got which stores my 12 by 12 paper and 8 1/2 by 11 paper really well. Its basically the same thing, but you can store more 8 1/2 by 11 paper on the bottom section. Its 54.99 through Viking, but I really love mine. At least its an option, very like the one from Walmart, if you can't find it there. I think its well worth the money spent. I have a file folder for each color name of 12 by 12 and one for each color name of 8 1/2 by 11 on mine, and the paper all fits great!
Oooh! I love the Viking one and you could use your $20 off coupon on it and the price would be very comparable. I'm going to have to think about this one. Thanks for sharing.

After seeing the picture of the cool filing rack I knew I had to have it. I sent my husband to 1 Walmart ... no luck. So I headed out after work to another Walmart. They had 10 left but they weren't on sale. Still I'm very happy, it's very sturdy. Now the big question. Where do you all get your 12" x 12" file folders?
It is 9.99 for 6. Its pretty spendy, but I really like them. I have seen them as expensive as 20.00 for 6. So, I guess that isn't so bad. But if you just do a search on google for Making Memories Hanging File Folders, you might be able to find them even cheaper!

What a find :!: I'll have to go by after work tomorrow to check out ours. I did check at walmart.com online, but there wasn't anything there. Paper Wishes has a Rolling Rack for 12 x 12 paper, but it's not nearly so big and is $29.99. I'm still thinking of ordering one. They also have the 12 x 12 hanging file folders, but it is $9.95 for a package of six. The also have the manila folders that you can put in the hanging ones. They are a package of 12 for $10.49.

I have that cart-I use Cropper Hopper folders, pricey at 6/$9.99 but I have been using them 3+ years and they have not worn out or anything. I have a folder for each color and store my scraps in a 2 gallon ziploc bag in the front of each folder. Works great.

I think you just convinced me to order the rack and folders. I'm getting desparate.

I went to Wal Mart today for this cart. In my store, they are still $27.84.
I asked an employee if they might be on sale and she said some stores mark down certain items on their own. I will have to keep checking back. It looks like a great cart. How sturdy is it? It sounds like you got a great deal!
has anyone else had luck finding these?? I wanted one, and couldn't find it today at Walmart. what part of the store did you find them in if you found them? I want one!! any suggestions are appriciated!

I found a great way to store my 12 X 12 papers! I don't have room for carts, but I do for files. I found these at http://store.scrapbooking-warehouse.com/242367.html and they are $12.63 each. I have one for each color family (marked on the outside - Earth Elements, Bold Brights, etc..), one for US white, US vanilla, copper, silver, gold, vellum, window sheets, etc.., and one for printed papers. I put both my 12 X 12 and 8-1/2 X 11 of the same color in the same file. They work great and are totally portable and strong! They hold a lot of weight without the handle breaking. HTH some of you!
I found these racks at my Walmart marked down to $10 then they also had 1/2 off of all clearence today!!! so only $5!!!! Wohooo..... my friend with me bought 3 of them too. We found them in the office supplies area by the file cabinets etc...
Thank you for posting about them....... I didn't really need a new way to store my CS but for $5 I will put it to good use!
About the folders--
You can make your own if a less finished look doesn't bug you. Just get legal hanging files and manilla folders. Cut across the bottom of the hanging files, and insert one of the manilla folders taping or stapling it to the hanging file so that it is the correct length for your paper. HTH!
i found these file carts on the Seville Classics site and they are perfect for me. They will hold hanging letter size file folders one way and legal size the other. they are approx. 18 inches high and just the right height to get paper out of when I am in my chair. They also roll away under my table. There is a shelf on the bottom for bigger packages of paper. I dont use the bigger paper for scrapbooking so i dont need the bigger size. I have one hanging folder for each color of cardstock and then I add a ziplock bag for scraps. The ones at Walmart sound great too but I thought i would share what I found also. I was using the plastic crates and what a pain they were, low to the ground and heavy to move around. The rolling carts are fantastic.

laffenstamper,
About the hanging folders wearing out on the bottom and looking funny with tape on them; When you get new folders put duct tape along the bottom fold on the INSIDE of the folder. Then it won't show and the folder should have a harder time wearing out on you.
