Default Watercolor Crayons and Blender Pen

I apologize up front . . . I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere, I just didn't take the time to really hunt for the thread . . . but can you use your blender pen with the watercolor crayons? I'm getting ready to order the crayons and I'm just wondering if I HAVE to have the aquapainter (which seems like it would be challenging for me), or can I just use my blender pen with them? Thanks for your help!

I don't use either -- usually I use a paint brush and water. I also colour the crayons directly on a stamp and then mist it with a spray bottle of water before stamping.

Yes, you can pick up color from your watercolor crayons with a blender pen. I prefer the aquapainter because the color flows more smoothly. But if I want real intense color in a small space, the blender pen works better. I also like using just a paintbrush and water. You will love the crayons. They are so versatile.

I have used blender pens, Aquapainters & a good old fashioned paint brush. My favorite way is the paint brush & least favorite is the Aquapainter - too hard to control the water with those IMO.
