Just wondering if anyone can comment before I make a purchase ... I was looking at the SU watercolour crayons and the watercolour pencils. They are the same price, but you get more pencils. Just wondering if they perform the same. Or are they intended for different purposes?
I have the pastels and blender pens. But, I don't really like colouring with these. i don't find I like the way the colour comes out. But, I do love poppin' pastels and I love using the pastels for backgrounds.
So, just trying to find something to colour with and would love to be able to blend it as well.
Any comments/suggestions/examples would be much appreciated!
As far as the SU brand, the pencils coordinate but are not "matching" colors. The crayons, on the other hand, are manufactured by Lyra to match SU's 48 colors. I totally prefer the crayons, because you can get a much more vibrant color than with pencils. You can either pick up color from the crayon with a wet brush, or you can color directly on paper and blend. Love 'em....
I LOVE the SU crayons - they just melt and blend so easily! I also have non-SU watercolor pencils which I don't care for as much. If you have a demo close by you should try before you buy - KWIM? See which one works best for you. Sorry I'm not that much help!!
I have SU pencils and Lyra Crayons. I love both. They give you different looks. I am tempted to get the SU crayons as they match, but so much to get so little money, lol.
I have the SU crayons and pencils and I use them both but prefer the crayons as there are more colors and they blend so nice and are so vibrant. I also have the primsacolor pencils and they are great too but the crayons are my preference.
