To create the background, tear a piece of waxed paper slightly larger than the glossy paper you are using. Crumble into a ball and then flatten out. Using the brayer, first cover the waxed paper in a light colour such as Brocade Blue, then go over it again with a lighter touch in a darker colour, such as Night of Navy. Then, stamp whatever you would like over top.
Happy Stamping!

Edit: Oops, forgot to mention that once you have brayer the waxed paper, flip the inked side onto the GLOSSY side of the glossy paper, and use the brayer to push the ink from the waxed paper onto the glossy paper. That'll teach me to post, fend off a 3yr old with the munchies, answer the door and take the cinnnamon buns out of the oven all at the same time. Dontcha just luv multi-tasking? sheesh...
