I have seen similar caddies in the gallery and went round and round on what kind of holder to get for my new stamp area. I finally decided that one like this would take up too much counter space and I have little to spare. I opted for a flat version that can sit on the counter against the wall or even be mounted on the wall. I know I've seen them sold on Ebay, I personally printed a copy and wrote out my own plans and had DH construct it for me. It holds 60 pads (5 rows of 12) and I can see them all in one view and it takes up virtually none of workspace. I do like the option of markers by the pads but I thought if my plans were any more complicated DH wouldn't make it. I guess I would recommend you analyze your space and go with what gives you the most options and space.

OH I've already ordered it ;) LOL! Just wanna hear more! LOL!

I didn't want anything that too up width on my stamp table.. I have more depth than width to spare, so this was PERFECT size wise for me!!!

I have the 4/48 version ... I love the features it has (spots for ink, reinker, wheel cartridge, marker ... drawers on each side ... spot in the top for crimper and rulers) But frankly, I was disappointed in the quality. Mine has a definite tilt to it (think Leaning Tower of Piza), and not all of the dowels separating the various sections are securely fastened. I didn't realize it would come quite so "unfinished", and haven't gotten around to sanding / staining or painting it.

My ink pad holder is different than yours, but I love it.

I wanted to view my ink pads all at once, so I chose this model over one that rotates. The one you're getting looks very cool too!! Since I got mine I enjoy stamping much more. It makes cleaning up a lot easier.

Take care, Brenda
