I'd love to see another (better) burgandy - not that dusty, muddy looking
Baroque Burgandy but a real clear dark blue-red.
A softer pale pink - lighter than Pretty In Pink & a light Aqua would be nice.
I agree that a waterproof charcoal gray would be nice for watercoloring techniques. Sometimes Basic Black is just too harsh.
I know this will never happen but I wish we had one of the colors that CTMH makes. CTMH has a unique kind of cardstock. It's just colored on the outside but the core is white. Generally I think this is a disadvantage since if you tear the cardstock all the white shows. I do love one of their colors because of the white core. If you take their Outdoor Denim cardstock & rub it vertically & then horizontally with fine sandpaper it looks exactly like denim. It's a lot more realistic than our denim background stamp.
Oh geez!!! i had no idea there was a need for more colors. I can't even use all the ones I have! Don't go requesting more! That means I would HAVE to buy them, which means less $$$ for accessories!!! which I am still trying to collect. :( I almost have all my CS in all the 48 colors, and I haven't even begun the 12 x 12 yet...which is my next conquest. (A peach would be nice, though...)
thanks Britta for letting us know about entering our comments. or ideas, on the stampin up website, where once a month you can also be entered for a free stamp set by doing so. Carolyn
I like all the color ideas for ribbon, but I was wondering if there is a way to "color" white ribbon with our inks to make some cool colors to use. I know you can sort of dye the gingham with brown or caramel ink to antique it, but what about changing white ribbon to a color. Would this work, and if so, would you use classic or craft ink?
Pryor208, you can use your reinkers (or just rub the ribbon across you ink pad) I do this and then spritz it with water to make the ink run so it covers the ribbon. It's works very well on most colors, but some don't turn out so nicely.
Ok colors, I would love a cross between Turquoise and Teal, maybe lighter. I also think a pretty tangerine color would be nice. I love the fruit family colors too.
Unfortunately since SU just changed a bunch of colors last year, I doubt they'll make such a major change again too soon :(
I think they shouldn't CHANGE any of the colours...but they could sure add a colour family (or two or three or...) I would LOVE a colour palette that would be beachy - sand, sun (inc. sunrise & sunset), sea shades. And distress inks... and...and...and...
I agree with 90% of what's been said here, but my concern is:
What would happen w/ the colour families if this was done?!?!
I haven't managed to get all of the new colours yet, and that kind of thing is HARD on my pocket!!! Especially when there's sooooo much other stuff I want to buy.
It would be cool if they could start a new colour family, but it seems like all these suggestions belong in vastly different families.

Take a sponge and hold your ribbon b/w the sponge and inkpad, then run it through a couple of times on each side (the more times you run it through, the darker the colour is).
I'm thrilled w/ that technique b/c I can't afford to buy all that ribbon!!

I think we can definettly use some more red colors and some different blues.I don't care for bordering blue,we have lots of greens.
but to be honest with all of you I really don't need any more colors added to my collection I have most of them now.I really do not care for the bold brights very much.i have some but not all of them like orange, red, pink passion, lilac, turquoise.

I think the shebert colors would be a great addition to the line. I think it covers a lot of the peaches, blues, etc.
I happened to see a collection from another line that was seasonal. I really think that would be cool. Colors for summer, spring, fall and winter with coordinating patterned papers. Woohoo! It would stink when you couldn't get it anymore. Just a thought!
Oops....should have read the posts throughoutly rather than skimming...
Out of the above suggestions, I would love to see a cranberry and a seaglass. I also would love a real Robin's Egg blue. Bashful is close, but too baby blue for my liking.
Maybe SU should test a few new colors by offering a set of 2 or 3 new complementary colors, that includes 6 or so sheets of paper in each and a classic stampin spot. They could do 2 or 3 new or interesting colors for each mini (or even just 1). That is not too much of a financial investment for something new and fun to play around with.

I was on the phone with my sister and we were discussing this. I thought it would be interesting to get more input.
What color do you find is "missing" from the SU colors?
For me, I'd love a light orange color. Not only orange, but MUCH lighter. Sort of a summery tangerine color. Something that would go with the barely banana, gable green, ballet blue combo.
Okay, what is going on in that picture? Emily on a stick? Are you campaigning for something?
All of the new colors sound lovely, but I agree with the overwhelmingness of trying to buy all the new colors in ink, paper, markers, etc., is overwhelming. I guess that's why they originally stopped at 48. The idea of a few colors in each mini is interesting. However, we will all need not a stamp room, but a stamp house to store all of our stuff. Aaaggghhhh......

How about a Periwinkle color. I agree with cranberry, charcoal, light aqua, a brownish pink, another lighter orange, a greenish yellow, a true purple, a more orangy red, a nice tan color, and the fruit ideas.
I agree that a more ocean blue would be great, but I love the current bliss blue. Get rid of Bordering Blue- it's so hard to tell if it's blue or gray. Not a very pretty color. We need a true purple, a peach and a tan or flesh color. There are two many reds and purples right now that are very similiar.
I LOVE bordering blue for the winter cards with snow in the foreground and snowflakes falling. You can picture bordering blue as either blue or gray - a perfect winter sky.
I would love to see more of a fruit colored line ... tangerine, strawberry, kiwi, lime, lemon, honeydew, cataloupe, peach, raspberry, etc. I would also love a truer purple.
That is just what I want too. A whole new fruity family! But if I could only pick one it would be lime green. I love lime with orange and purple and gable green is too pale and green galore just isn't the right shade.
I would quite happily lose taken with teal and glorious green, don't like either really.
I agree with the other posters about a real purple! I NEVER use Pale Plum and Perfect Plum. They are just too dull for me. I, too, would love a cranberry or wine color.
Love the idea of a "fruit" line! They would be soooo pretty and so much fun to work with!
