Default What did you find under the tree?

Remember when you were growing up and you called your girl friends right after to you opened your gifts and told them what you got????

OK girl-friends, I'm excited to be the proud owner of:
The Slit PUNCH! - Although small, I think it is my favorite gift, it is so cool and I can't wait to use it.
And, I got the Powder Pals trays set, assorted Bold Brights cardstock, the Friend to Friend sentiment set, and Sketch an Event. Those were all from my great mom who always spends too much and this year with the free shipping she bought even more.
My best friend got me the Stampin Pastels and I'm excited to have 49 chalk colors now!

What did you find in your stamping stocking/under the tree ladies?
Anita

Santa was very good to me, I got $500 to spend on my stuff. They gave me $ because I have so much that they don't want to get doubles. So I can't wait to place my SAB order!!!!! Merry Christmas.

I got a crop caddy from my MIL - it was the one at SAM'S CLUB that has the wheels and the extendable handle - now I don't have to take all my stamping stuff to workshops and stamp camps in cardboard boxes! Yeah! My MIL also got me a little table so that I can stamp somewhere other than on my kitchen table - I don't know how well this will work out because it isn't much bigger than a TV tray, so I might be taking it back for money to spend on more stamps.

I also got a fossil watch from my DH and a monogram purse that I have been wanting. My younger sister got me a cashmere scarf and matching beret.

It was a good Christmas - now if I hadn't had to write a letter from Santa to my 3 year old DD explaining that her Love Me Baby Chou-Chou doll had fallen off the sleigh, it would have been perfect. She is quite upset since that is the main item she had been wanting for the past several months. (Her doll is stuck in Memphis due to the snow/ice and UPS couldn't deliver it on time -- 4 redelivery dates so far and they are not expecting us to get it until late next week.)

Merry Christmas everyone & Happy New Year!

My DH spoiled me and bought a wooden 10 drawer system for storing my stamps. He did a ton of research to find it, and paid a fortune in shipping to get it here (it is overweight per UPS restrictions). It is absolutely gorgeous! He also bought we a dachshund charm for my bracelet, and a new house and accessory for a Dept. 56 village that I collect (my son picked them out). My sister bought me a book on stamping that has a bunch of cool techniques in it. I couldn't have asked for better gifts!

Default my santa...

My mom gave me the sizzix machine, a prayer box, a shirt and a coupon that read, "this coupon good for 1/2 the cost of the stamping up coloring things". I thought that was funny. She meant the marker set... LOL

Hubby and I don't exchange gifts usually and this year was no different due to our unexpected move to Midland in mid Dec.

My aunt, the dear sweet thing, bought me some stamping idea books and some Cardstock from Wal Mart. I will find something to use it for although I am a SU CS snob! LOL

Default Under the Christmas tree...

My DH bought me a new digital camera! After doing the appropriate research (he's an engineer), he settled on the Fuji FinePix E510!!
With 5.5 megapixels, and 3x zoom, he did an awesome job!! I've already read the manual and taken some awesome shots of our dogs out on the
deck this morning! Now I can get some fabulous shots of our precious
grandson, Owen who just turned one!

Default Santa has a name and it is

Karen and Allison. Between my daughter and daughter-in-law (ok, hubbys and children too) this month for my birthday and Christmas they have given me 15 sets of stamps. Do I feel like a Queen? You betcha. Hope Santa was good to all.

DH got me a Carl Cutter!!! Woo-Hoo!!!! He also got me a small Ott-Lite and Paper Perfect (which I can't wait to play with!!!). He also got me an opal pinkie ring.

Tomorrow I need to clean up my stamp room so I can actually get in there and play!

Me and my husband don't usually exchange gifts but this year we bought each other the same thing. We are now the proud owners of a not quite finished-will be done in April-brand new (we get to pick everything inside) first home! In this first home I will have my very own stamping and craft room! ALL TO MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!! What better gift could I ask for?

I got a Canon S1 IS digital camera with 10x optical zoom and an Epsom photo printer which is so cool. You just plug it into the wall, insert your memory card and it prints out lab quality photos!! I got my husband the 1st season of "Lost In Space". It is hysterical watching old shows like this. We made our kids watch the first episode - they thought it was very corny but I noticed that they want to watch the 2nd episode now!! Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you can all hold out for one more week to place your SAB order - I can hardly wait!!

I found a $100 gift certificate to our local SB store from DH. I'm very excited about it since I'm going to do scrapbooks for my adult children this year and even though I'll buy as much as I can from myself (SU!), there will be things I'll want that they don't carry.

In reference to the very first post, what is a slit punch and where is it in the SU catalog?

I'm really touched. My oldest son, who rolls his eyes at my hobbies, bought me a HUGE stack of scrapbook paper! My fiance gave me Bold Brights and Soft Subtles stamp pads and refills. Also an Ott light and a stereo system for my craft room. Life is good! Time to play ....

Hubby and I usually just buy ourselves a joint big gift for our anniv(10/11) my bday (11/1) Christmas (duh..LOL) and his bday (1/7) but this year was quite tight with medical bills and what not, so we didn't actually get each other anything big for all of those occassions. Which is really okay with me because I have everything i'll ever need (a super DH and three healthy DD's, a warm home to live in) He DID do a side job and got some cash, so he bought me a bunch of cardstock to help get my business going with SU! What a sweetie! I still haven't gotten him anything since I am a SAHM without a regular paycheck and have only had two demos since signing on in August. But hey, maybe after Sell-a-Bration, I can get him a surprise!
I'm so happy to hear you all had a wonderful Christmas!

From my DH I got a HP PCS 1350 all in one SCANNER, printer, copier. I can now do some scanning for uploads. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Also got one of those punch assist thingies (to use with oversized punches) and a trio of crimpers (from grands). My son gave me cash - putting that toward next SU order. My daughter gave me cookie sheets ( I desparately needed these) and a cuddly blanket for when I am curled up with a good book. My step daughters all came through with some pretty neat stuff too - 3 sweaters, hat/mittens combo - and my very favorite gift - a new hand mixer (mine was 30 yrs old and very slow).

I have had a wonderful Christmas and I sincerely hope every one here has had one too.

Off the topic, kalkaskamz, my anniversary is also 10/11.

A new Canon digital 5.0 camera to take the place of our 3 year old FujiFinePix. The new camera has an awesome zoom so now I can take super shots of my daughter playing soccer (and be able to recognize that it is her in the picture LOL) and better pics of my active 6 year old son.... plus take great pics to upload, too! And, an OTT light, prismacolor pencils (72 count), new flip flops, yoga equipment for the days I can't get to the gym, HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban DVD (my daughter and I are huge fans of the books/movies), Lucky CD by Melissa Ethridge, and most importantly, being with my wonderful family today. The greatest gift we have.

The Happiest of Holidays and a Peaceful New Year to all of you!

Valerie

my DH is actually catching on! I got a crop caddy with wheels and a handle that I have lusted after forever. Our son gave us a surround sound system (including outdoor speakers) and hooked it up for us. (We have hardwood floors so the wiring has to be in the walls). I also got books and gardening tools! Merry Christmas!

Default What did you find under the tree?

I got lots of really pretty clothes from my children and my DH gave me two beautiful rings with diamonds, one is black hills gold and the other is a solitare diamond almost like my wedding ring. We've been married almost 22 yrs and he thinks I need a lot more diamonds now that he can afford them a bit more than when we first got married. He also tells the Ron White joke.... "Diamonds, they take her breath away!" or say what you really mean.......
"Give her diamonds!!!!" "That'll shut her up......for a minute!"
I don't mind the jokes.... if it keeps the diamonds coming.

The best Christmas present was to be with my DH in our house. After Ivan so many don't have that and I am very thankful and pray daily for those that are still trying to recover from a long costly hurricane season. I hope that 2005 brings them renewed hope and happiness and a safe year.
I did get some cute jewelry from my Mom every year she also sends me a new snow globe, and my DH bought me a really nice MP3 player with FM tuner to take when I do PT for work and whenever I just want to listen to music without turning on the stereo. My SIL and her family gave us some cute Red Sox stuff since my DH is from back east and a huge fan! All is all just a nice day to be inside since even in Florida it is cold and wet outside!! Merry Christmas to all and may you all have a safe Happy New Year!

I must say we are all really blessed this year!!
My DH gave me a treadmill (he's downstairs putting it together right now!!) I never thought I'd get one...
And if that wasn't enough!! He gave me a $50 gift certificate to my favorite store - Paula my Stampin Up demo
Our whole family was around the dinner table today and I've never felt more loved. God is good!!!
Merry Christmas
Carol

Merry Christmas! I got pegboard for my stamping room (DH said no way a few months ago.....doesn't think it looks ok for anywhere but his workshop in the basement), an autographed print of a dog & cat by the fireplace done by a local artist, diamond earrings to match the ring I got last year, all from DH. I got $$ from my parents to use for SU! stuff. We haven't celebrated yet with DH's family, but I think I know what I'm getting from them. I asked for the North & South trilogy on DVD from MIL & FIL.

My Kids gave me a Sizzix machine and the tag dye cut. My husband got me a new table from IKEA for my craft room, of course now I have to clean it out to make room for the new table. He said there are a few things he wants to get for the table, for my birthday (3/1) so I have a couple months to get organized.

I also spent $100 this month and got the tool kit, the wheel guide, a stamp set and some punches from the catty. (Had to get to $1000 for the quarter for those Great Reward points).

Just waiting for our oldest son to get off work (at a dinner theater) and then we'll eat the turkey that's been cooking all day.

Merry Christmas to all you SCSers!

My husband and kids gave me a heart locket with my kids' pictures inside. Made the mommy cry! It has a kitty engraved on the front (which I wouldn't pick out for myself, but when you consider my kitty-crazed 3 year old picked it out, then I LOVE it!).

Merry Christmas everyone!

I got to order my stuff before Christmas. But I got a Carl Cutter (YEAH), a Xyron and a Tozzicle from my DH. I also got lots of $$ from him that I haven't decided what to spend yet. I'm getting my new workshop all set up in January so I am holding off to see what I need. I also got new flooring for my kitchen. I've been waiting for that for the last 4 years (every since we bought this house) That was the best gift. Plus my hubby got me some perfume.

The best was seeing my kids running to see if there were any presents udner the tree. It was so great.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

HMMM...Let's see.....I got.... my kids lots of presents!! My husband and I decided not to exchange this year and made sure the kids had tons to open!! It felt good!! My brother in law takes very good care of my hubby and got him his Xbox and a bunch of goodies to go with it.

Also my mother is VERY generous with her gifts to me and my sister. So I got from my Mommy...new jammies, 2 Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, my favorite perfume, Mrs. Prindables chocolate apples, Smashbox eyeliners, Lather skin care and she always tries to get us something we loved from our childhood. This year she got me a stuffed Strawberry Shortcake doll. I made out just as awesome as my kids did!!

Happy Holidays Everyone!!
