I also got the MM embellishment center a few months ago but would buy another if I could get it 50% off. Do they actually carry these in the stores because I had to get mine online? Can I use the coupon online? I don't have the coupon but need to get one!
I didn't have a coupon but I learned from SCS about the sign sheet to get % off and so I asked about that at our Michael's and they said where did you hear about that and I said I read about that somewhere. The Customer Service person said she would give it to me this time,but that they stopped that a year ago. Well I go to the cashier with my Making Memories Embellishment center and am asked to sign a sheet of paper and put my zip on it and guess what...there was a list of names. SO apparantly they haven't stopped it and I wasn't the only one they gave this so called no longer offered discount to. There was like 10 names on the list just at that cash drawer.
I'm hoping their storage cubes are not on sale. The last time I was going to use a 50% off coupon on them, all storage items were on sale -- for less than the coupon. Never ceases to happen! I actually might be able to snag a second coupon from my neighbor. We trade -- I feed her cats when she's on vacation, and she gives me all her Joann and Michaels coupons. Such a deal!
Does your Michaels have the storage cubes???? I haven't seen them at mine since Christmas, I was hoping they would start carrying them as part of their regular line.

Anyway, I have been on a really tight budget and I found a perfect one at Michaels! It was only $25, but on my tight budget, and with a lot more things left to buy, I just didn't want to pay that much. Well, when I saw that 50% off coupon, I knew just what I'd do with it!

I'm hoping to get that Crop-a-dile Big Bite, but I don't know if M's has it. I won't get there until Saturday. I know Archivers has it, and I have a 30% coupon, but that's just not the same...

Yep -- I got one of the cubes today, and my neighbor gave me her coupon this evening -- so I'm going back tomorrow to get another one!
I used my 2 at AC Moore - a mono refill and cutter refill - how exciting. But the register tape had 50% off coupons for Saturday. There's just nothing else I need right now that those stores carry.
I finally went today and bought the new Wilton cupcake cake pan. My oldest DD has been wanting it ever since she saw it at Target last month -- I loved getting it half off!
I got the Iris 12x12 paper storage thingy. It's called Scrapbook Central and has two "slim" drawers and two deeper ones. I like vertical storage for paper rather than horizontal. Just works better for me!

I got the 18x18 Marth Stewart scrapbook album. Saved me $40!! I am doing an album for my mom's friend, who is giving it to a family friend. He plays foot ball for USC (california) and has saved all of his news clippings, tickets, etc. since high school. A large album will fit everything much better.
I just got back from M's and used my 50% off coupon and bought a Cuttlebug alphabet set-Olivia. I have Harmony but have been wanting Olivia for a while. It's regular $80! I would never spend that much money on this so I'm happy.

I have yet to find anything exciting - may have to go back tomorrow to spend that coupon but at my store they have new storage cubes that are dark wood color not white.
I walked around and walked around, looking for something to spend my money on, ended up giving the coupon to a lady with 2 older kids and a baby.....figured if I was trying that hard to find something, I didn't need it.
I bought the Making Memories Carousel. It's replacing my Pampered Chef tool turnabout -- I have the white one, which doesn't turn at all, especially when filled with heavy stuff. Normally $39.99, the MM Carousel only cost me $20.00 with the coupon! Good deal!

I walked around the store for 20 minutes and left. I wanted a 12x12 paper holder and they didn't have any.
I didn't know you could use the coupons at Joanns. I think I will go there with my coupon tomorrow.

My M's had a whole brand new display of these cubes only they were wood-toned, not white. More expensive, too...32.95 or so. <sniff!> They ain't dumb...
I've been debating for a while, but broke down and got myself the Crop-A-Dile. No more Fiskers snap thingies or hammers for me! I love this thing so much, I'm already looking around for the new, improved and BIGGER version!

I am so jealous. I want a MM carousel so bad and our three Michaels get 2-4 at a time and they are gone within minutes. I continue to miss getting there at the right time. Darn! So anyway, I bought a sachel to carry 12x12 sized supplies, a ten pack of 12x12 plastic envelopes for dividing the colors in my sachel, some printed card stock, and some jars for my MM embellishment shelf. Used two 50% off coupons and then used a register tape for 20% on any other regular priced items. Still wish I could have found the carousel! I drove plenty of miles today trying to find one. Wish they would let me reserve one, I would even prepay to get it!

I have to agree - Mikes is not cutting edge. I always use my 50 off on a tool of somekind and they just don't do it for me.
As of September 2007 we were able to start using M's coupons for Martha products.
I also bought the Embellishment Center, JUST LOVE IT!!! and I bought one of the organizer cubes and a door for it, need to hide some of my JUNK... or at least the little puchases I'm trying to hide from Hubby ;)

That is why I don't like Mike's. They never have anything new and exciting...always the same old stuff. I feel like if I am going to use the coupon it better be on something well worth it or I don't feel like I am getting a "good deal". I usually give it to someone else in line or buy a book. Last night I bought Simple Scrapbooks Digital Scrapbooking....it was worth it.
Since Michaels is having a 40/50 percent off day, starting today, I brought brilliance ink pads and Tim Holtz distress ink pads, 2.50 for the distress inks, still spent 100.00 :( I just dont know how it adds up so fast. Now I must go on a spending fast for 2 months to Recuperate, because I also just put in my order for SU. Pray for me .
