I participate in swaps and then get more cards. Probably not the answer you were looking for but it's lots of fun! I belong to a MOMS Club for stay-at-home moms and moms who work p/t and I volunteered to do b-day cards for the moms only (there for 6 for october and 6 for november) plus I'm in the process of doing thank-you cards for donations we received and other mom-related events (new babies and such). This is on top of doing b-day cards and then I just donated some to one of the ladies here who is collecting for the soldiers. But I do still end up with many piling up. I will probably give out some as gift sets for Xmas but I'm sure I'll just end up with more b/c I keep making them. That's the fun part, right? Also, my husband is notorious for asking for a card at the last minute for thank you's for friends and co-workers so that's always handy.

Anyways, that's what happens with mine.

I have some hanging in my office for inspiration. I also send them to family and friends for all occasions. I do "weed" out often and donate cards as well. My last batch went to the troops.

Yikes! Every card I've made is for an occasion. And I'm usually blowing on the ink on my way out to door to go to the Birthday party, wedding, etc! One day I hope to have the time to just create just for the fun and experience of the whole artistic process. ;o)

Mine are all organized in a photo box by theme. I flip through and look at them fairly often. Twice a year I go through and choose some to bundle up to send to a close elderly friend. He sends a lot of cards and loves to give the handmade ones.

I hardly have any on hand because I sent them all out to my RAK group...

But I do have a ton that people in the RAK group sent me....

So that is what I do with them...I love to send cards!

I have starte just making bundles of cards for people. I much rather like making for others than for myself. I usually make multiples and keep one copy for myself and filing away so I know how I made it.

I sell cards at work. I have a box of assorted cards available in the teachers' room with an envelop to collect the money. It's strictly on the 'honor' system. I don't even keep track of it, I just empty the envelope on a daily basis. I've only been burned twice in all the years I've been doing it. The staff really appreciates the convenience of having the cards right there when they need them....no trips to the card store!
I also send cards to friends and relatives, but probably not as often as I should!

I hate to admit I send them to people. I have a lot of business associates so lots of birthdays, belong to two quilting friendship groups ... so somehow I manage to send out most of the ones I make. I do have quite a stash but I'm always having to replenish it. Plus I send cards to about 20 people for every holiday like Valentine's, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, etc.

I rarely make cards without a recipient in mind. So all of mine get sent.

Well I belong to the RAK group here on SCS.
Plus I joined some Swaps here on SCS too!
And I am in some Yahoo groups that we do Swap every month.
And I make them for my family for Birthdays, Thinking of you, Just Because.

I also keep some to show other's what I have done.

That's one of the reasons I love the RAK group so much! Sending cards to other stampers is so great on so many levels. It's nice to know that someone else might get inspiration from something you did and that you make someones day in the process! Oh, and you know your handmade creation is going somewhere where it will truly be appreciated! It's a win-win situation!

Pretty much all of mine get sent. I give birthday cards to lots of people where I work and I send out several cards for every holiday. If it is a card I am really fond of, I may hold onto it for a couple months, but eventually it gets sent. Sometimes I will bundle a group and give them as a little gift. I do scan every card I make - so I can look through the images any time I want.

I send most of mine out. We belong to a small church and I send cards to everyone who has a birthday, anniversary, illness, etc. I also send to friends and family for birthdays and holidays. I also make sets of cards to give as gifts. They are always appreciated, and nothing thrills me more than getting one of my own cards in the mail!

I hoard them and only part with them if it's for a good reason I also take them out and pet them from time to time.

JUST KIDDING!! I send out just about every card I make!!

I have lots of cards in a photo box organized by theme. I should send them out to people but I rarely do. They aren't all cards made by me, I participate in a monthly swap so I get 10 new ones a month for the past 3 years.

I sent card to a charity called Keiki Cards.

They send out over 300 cards a week to cheer up seriously ill children.

Their website is www.keikicards.org if you would like more info.

I send cards to my mother (86 and almost 1000 miles away) and 2 daughters (away at college) on a weekly basis. I also send for occasions and "just because" to friends/family. I make small cards for my colleagues. I am making and collecting cards to send to soldiers in my daughter's boyfriend's Army Unit in Iraq (see below). I usually keep only a photo copy...

I send a ton of cards and just can't seem to keep up. I am always late for birthdays, RAK's etc., but I always get them sent. I do belong to a RAK group here, so that really eats up a lot of cards. I also try to make samples for customers to see -- I'm a fairly new demo so that has been a chore to get samples made -- then when those sets retire I'll be able to send those cards out. I was planning to save all my Christmas card samples for next year, until I see if any of my sets have retired. But I just decided to mail them out this year. I have about 30+ Christmas cards here that I made for samples. I'll just make new ones for next year. I feel a card is better sent than sitting around.

Since I love to make cards I get an over abundance of them. I give birthday cards to my co-workers in which that is 80 a year.Just yesterday my DS had a special olympics bake sale and I donated cards to sell. We sold about 50 of them.

I wish I had an outlet to sell some -- that would be so much fun -- and you'd get some of your $$ back for new supplies. I'm a SAH farm wife and Mom, so no co-workers here!!! (Well, actually I do have my DH and boys, but THEY sure wouldn't buy a card from me - ha ha!!!)

Along with sending them to our church members each week, don't forget the nursing home and senior facilities. There are many who rarely see anyone let alone get a card. I have given my extra Chistmas cards to the staff at the nursing home and just sign it "A Friend" It means so much to them.
Also, don't forget out Vets!

I'm like Happy Heart, I sell cards to my co-workers. I don't think I've ever been burned though, some have even paid extra. I have many different cards made and they are filed alphabetically by catagories. I also make all the cards to send for family and friends birthdays, anniversarys, thinking of you, etc. I haven't purchased a single card from a store since 1998. My husband does buy my birthday, Mother's Day, and anniversary cards from stores. I haven't been able to talk him into making them *yet*.

I belong to a monthly group of 12. I usually make 16 cards - 12 for the group, 1 I keep, and send the rest.
