Ok, I am a fairly new demo and am (FINALLY) doing my first workshop this weekend. The hostess is not really that into crafty things but said she'd be happy to help me out by hosting as she has some friends who are into stamping and scrapping. One of the things she asked me for is to maybe create an idea list of all the ways that you can use rubber stamps. SO, this is where you come in! I'm so new to this that I'm afraid I will be missing stuff. I know the obvious...cards, scrapbooks, candles, etc.
But what else do you use your stamps for or stamp on???
You can make gift tags and if you have wheels you can make wrapping paper. You can discuss about the Definately Decorative stamp sets where they can actually decorate rooms in their homes. I hope that was somewhat helpful.
I tell people at my workshops that if it doesn't move, I will stamp it!
Plates, tiles, ornaments, walls, fabric, etc. With rubberstamps, you are not limited to just paper and that is why it is such a great hobby (addiction)
Stamp on onesies and little t-shirts for a different and unique baby gift. Stamp your own towels or napkins. Stamp on curtains. There are some great samples of stamping on fabric throughout the SCS galleries.
I love to stamp my walls and floors (doesn't have to be the Definately Decorative stamps either, although those are made for that) besides lots of cards.
I love beaded pens and composition notebooks. They are FANTASTIC teacher gifts!!!
If you go on the main gallery page there is an area called "Anything BUT a card where there are tons of creative ways to use stamps. That would help you make your list for sure!
SU! products speak for themselves. If you go in there an share your love with them you'll knock their socks off and they'll all become addicted too!!! (how can they not?!?!?) Good luck with your first show--I know it'll be great!
This is a document that I found at one time or another on this site..... or the SU Sisters yahoo Group. I can't remeber... I save everything I come accross. It's a cute little thing to print out and put in there folder for the workshop along with the "all kinds of demo's" stuff. I can't give credit to the creator because who knows whose thread I saved this from. But I just new it would come in handy some day!!!
You've already gotten great ideas about what to do with stamps...but I just wanted to give you a word of encouragement about your non-crafty hostess. 3 years ago, my friend I used to work with asked me if I'd get some of my friends and coworkers together for her to do some kind of home party. I'd never heard of stamping, and assured her I wasn't crafty at all, but said sure, I'd have one for her. I hardly bought anything myself, though I liked the cards she showed us...I just figured I couldn't make anything like that myself. Then I got my little free hostess set and started playing around with it. Then I thought, hey, maybe I'll make Christmas cards this year. I ended up being in my friend's 10-for-15 for over a year, spent hundreds of dollars with her, and just signed up as a demo under her!
Also, there was a "friend of a friend" at that same first party I had...she ended up falling in love with SU stuff there and spent over $100 off the bat. She ended up being one of MY best friends and joining the 10-for-15 with me, hosting several parties for my demo friend and getting all her sisters to do the same.
So you never know where those non-crafty hostesses will end up. I bet there are a lot of folks here with similar stories!
Good luck! Amanda

How about lamp shades? My SIL loves the lodgy look and has stamped Bears and Moose all over everything, including her lampshades. The DD Pines set would be great for this. She stamped a border of bears along the top of her kitchen walls, even stamped the bears on the INSIDE of her glass (?) kitchen light so the shadow of the bear shows through the OUTSIDE when the light is on.
I don't know if this one has been mentioned but how about faces and hands for face painting and tattoos. I once used small outline stamps for help when face painting. All I had to do was fill in with paint. It was much easier.
