Not to find that the dogs got into my space and chewed on something.
Seriously, I need some good tv (preferrably something I DVRd and have seen before), caffeine and a clear schedule. I am very unproductive if I have a million things hanging over me.

Boy, I'm on the same page as you all! Having obligations out of the way is a big thing, and also having a clean space. I actually clean my space between cards unless I'm in a huge rush. Recently though, I purged and reorganized a little bit and now it's so nice and tidy that I don't want to mess it up -- but I'll get over it!!!
I usually stamp in silence -- no TV in that room. But I think I'll start adding music to the mix or put a show on my laptop and see what happens with that!
Oh. . . and if the one cat who loves everything on my table is sleeping (elsewhere!), I'm going to have smoother sailing .
*something to drink - which is kept on the other side of the room so I have to get up and walk over to drink it. I always keep liquid far away from my table after a friend spilled an ENTIRE glass of red Crystal Light all over her table.
*something on the tv - either Food Network, any sports, or the music channel turned to either the 70's or 80's.
*having the mojo work - once I start stamping, if things don't flow well, I literally get up and walk away from the room. No sense in wasting time and supplies if it's just not a good time to stamp!

1) Clear access to my crafting table.
2) Clean house (For some weird reason, I can't seem to give myself permission to craft if I've got chores that need doing. Consequently, I tend not to do a lot of crafting.)
3) Ice cold soda, water or tea.
Ice water & music. I'm a horrible, lazy, slob, so my workspace is always a disaster. I keep about a five inch square clear so I can actually stamp. I really should clean house before I stamp, but I do not! That is why my Etsy shop has 550 items! I always choose stamping over cleaning!
Since it's just me and my puppy in the house, I like creating to the sound of her soft breathing next to me. NO food allowed near crafting tools and supplies. Computer and printers are in this room also so of course no food allowed.
Since I live with only my puppy, who cares if the house is clean! I don't entertain in my home so there is no worry. Home is too small for entertaining anyone.
Oh, I may also create to the sound of the washer and dryer. That gives me some sense of the time I'm spending creating.

I'm different in that I don't like to have music, TV, or any other type of distraction...so I guess I need quiet time. I also don't like to stamp when I'm rushed.
I clean up my space (table area) as I go, so that's not a problem. But if my house or craft room had to be clean first, then I'd never get around to making anything!

Oh, and I also like to stamp in the day when I have good natural light out the window. Plus I like to take pictures of my cards outside with natural light. So, I guess I need to add that I need daylight...that's rain or shine. I know some crafters stay up late and do the challenges. It sounds like fun, but I prefer daytime to get my best mojo juices flowing.

I need time and the inclination. I usually have the TV or music on (the TV helps me keep track of time), although not required. I get the most done though when I am inspired on a project or have a deadline!!
Music, music, music!!! It's usually Blues but depending on my mood it can be loud classic rock and roll or more soothing Dan Fogelberg type stuff or Christmas tunes..and a bit of chocolate never hurts either!

I just got a craft room instead of just a table so it is still in chaos mode--but it does help because I can shut out the curious kitties. My requirements:
1.) Diet Dr. Pepper (kept out of reach so I don't knock it onto my work space)
2.) Clean table so I have room to create
3.) Radio tuned to fun upbeat music
4.) Peace from the family (as in my time without distractions so it usually only happens during school hours or late late at night)
5.) Inspiration from all of you talented crafters who help me get my mojo on.

An occasion!!!
I can't stamp without an upcoming birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc. to kickstart my mojo.
I also NEED a good variety of supplies. I hate to just make do because it never seems like I can create this way. Yesterday i wanted to make a tri-shutter card and I needed 12x12 paper and I only have two packs of 12x12 cs. I didn't have dsp to match what I wanted to do or ribbon~grrrrrrr. I HATE that but did come up with something...but barely.
Oh, for I awhile I didn't want to stamp because I didn't want to mess up my table...weird and dumb. But I like to keep it fairly tidy and have gotten over that strange anxiety! Right now it's a little messy because I have too many projects going on.

I like to have ice cold water (with a lid). I watch dvd's on a portable dvd player. I like to clean my room between projects. No food when I am working. What I really need is to quit my job so I cam play all day, the issue would be where would I get the money for crafts.
I need my cats to be asleep. This never works because when they do settle down and I start crafting it's like an alarm. "OMG! Mom's crafting! Let's go set on her and all her tools. We can take a bath, give her kisses and slap each other!" They are a joy! (rolling eyes)
I need my water or tea. All my chores & Pilates have to be done. My biggest distraction, beside my three beautiful girls, are my books. If my books are out I am reading them and not crafting.
I really like to stamp when I am alone at home (hubby out doing something etc). I put on the radio and bring a pot of tea downstairs when it is cool, and icetea or something cold in the summer. I really just love the peace of it.
I don't stamp well underpressure.. Sure, I can get the job done, but I don't enjoy it. I like to take my time and make what I like and have the time to try new things and enjoy the experience.
A good movie from Turner Classic Movies, or a good station on Pandora. A cup of tea...and my laptop so I can be inspired from all the wonderful people here!

I need to have my craft room clean. I don't care if the rest of the house is clean because that's a never ending struggle. I use a flat screen tv as my computer monitor, so I usually have the food network on or a movie going while I craft. A lot of time also, I'm on skype with my niece (she's 11) and we're doing a simple project together.
Since I live with only my puppy, who cares if the house is clean! I don't entertain in my home so there is no worry. Home is too small for entertaining anyone.
This sounds like me only instead of a puppy I have a cat. I have less than 900 sq ft and crafting supplies in my craft room and in my living room. Sometimes in my kitchen too but I try to keep the kitchen clean. I've been able to see my kitchen table for a week now and that's pretty amazing for me.
To get "inspired" I need a deadline otherwise I just play around with all my toys. I love making things with the BS but they usually end up in the recycle.
I have to have my music playing to really get something done. Also I do my best work late at night.
First I have to have a project in mind to work on. Then I must have clean space and the final piece is shoutcast comedy radio. I don't care if the rest of my house is clean. I never go there anyway. lol

I need what others have already posted:
1. A reason to create-just creating for the sake of it is where my brain cells just die! Although there is the rare occasion that they're firing at full speed and I get a really great idea...doesn't happen often though)
2. Ice cold diet coke or diet peach tea (love it)
3. A friend to create with-just one or I will visit too much and not get a thing done. For some reason having a friend to bounce ideas off of just helps me create more and better!
