I'm thinking specifically of words. what words would you put on a clipboard? I'm making my very first altered clipboard for my mom's birthday on MONDAY! (I know it's a time crunch, but my clipboards from viking just arrived yesterday). and I just don't know what to put on it?? I was thinking maybe just the word "grandma" with my friend's large alphabet. but she's more than just a grandma. so I was thinking maybe "mom" but it's not for mother's day. then I was thinking maybe her name? but maybe she'd think it was silly?? she'll be 51 do 51 year old grandma's like things with their names on them? or should I just do a "C"? and just leave it with a monogram??but there are 7 people in my family who's names start with C. I just can't decide. I need help from all you seasoned cliboard makers.
also what are your favorite embellishments for altered clipboards? I'm wanting this to be something she can hang in her craft room, and maybe put her favorite cards on, or pictures of her grandkids, or something inspiring for her. so I don't think it needs to be completely flat. only the top half needs to be flat.
all help is appreciated. I plan to make several more of these in the near future.
thanks
Michelle
Every clipboard I've done so far, I've used their names. But, I haven't done one for my mom. I think I would go with her name or Grandma, but that is a hard one. I am working on a new clipboard, but didn't get it done in time to put in my gallery before 10-1. Oh well, I do have a couple in there if you want to check them out.
Being a seasoned grandma, I would love grandma on my clipboard along with maybe some pictures of you and the grandchildren mod poged on it, ribbons, how about some funkey gals using haute coutre,,etc.
I love your idea. I think I will go make one for my 8 year old granddaughter!
