I love the nature stamps. I also love silhouettes and hope to see more of those.
I also wish that SU had a small butterfly stamp and punch (like MS) that would work together.
I really, really, really wish that they would bring back the card recipes in the back of the catty! I know you can get them on-line. I want them in the catty...pretty please?!!
More digital! I would love it if each set also came in digital option! Plus, all the DSP's in digital as well. I would love to have Cottage Wall in digital, would pay as much as the real paper for that one in digital. Plus I would love the stamp set "Cottage Garden" from the Aus. Fall and Winter mini. (I was checking out all the other catties one day)
(yes, I know, Orchid Opulence is retiring so my dreams of opening the catty and finding Cottage Wall dsp in dl format are very slim)
Perhaps they need a set with a lounge, a TV, a computer, a can of beer and a game controller.
Boy, wouldn't that be great. I love the camping, fishing, hiking type of sets since the immediate guys (and the gals) in my family are totally into that, but the extended ones not so much. Some of the older sets I have like Classic Cards still work for some because they drove hot-rods when they were younger (eons ago!) but there are always those others that aren't into any of those things. You can only do so many generic/guy versions of tree cards. The can of beer would be terrific (beer bottles, too). I'm just hoping it's not the same old same old flowers.
Oh, also for MDS a color combo tool. I am horrible at making color combos so it would be nice to have on in the program so I don't have to be online or have a color tool handy.
Personally, I believe more single stamps are the way to go. The stamps sets do not have the resale value. Single stamps do. You can purchase a stamp for lets say ten dollars and when you are ready to part with you could possibly sell it for as much as five dollars. (I am Canadian)
This is a positive thread so I will end positively by saying I always look forward to the new catty. If I won the lotto ( depending on how much) I would invite my friends and buy the whole catty and my friend could be the hostesses!

I think the sets that I see at garage sales having no resale value are the flowers----because everyone has 1-zillion sets of flowers! Ha!
I'm not a big fan of single stamps, and have very few. I want the set to "put together" the total card. Usually, the single stamps are more spendy anyway.
I would like some military stamps. The two sets that we have are very somber looking that I don't want to make any cards out of them because they look like a sympathy card when I use them. A set with a 'congrats on your promotion' or 'congrats on completing training' would be nice. More military stamps for us military spouses!
Excellent! Definitely a need for those sentiments. Maybe also do some sets specific to the different branches.

Make it a beer set with bottles, cans, glasses and mugs, and a wine set with bottles and different glasses and a mixed drink set!

I read that Nestabilities are patented. So Sizzix can't make "nesting" dies!
This is interesting. I was in Archiver's last week and was looking for the Nesties and they had like three to choose from and I said "why so few?" And the clerk's response was "because we have these by Provocraft over here that are just like them (nesting within each other) that we are carrying now. Soooo hmmmmmmm, what to think?
1. Journaling markers in beautiful colors!! Not just black and brown.
2. A realistic OTTER stamp!! Even cutesy would do. I just love otters!!
3. New color albums!! I'm SO sick of the old colors, and with new color cardstock coming out, I'm HOPING there are other things in new colors!! (ahem...journaling markers too!)
I have been following this thread with interest and I am wondering what would capture my interest. I agree that there are lots of flowers and butterflies, although I like both I don't know as I need more.
I did Grad cards this spring and the pitiful selection of Grad stamps was discouraging. Nothing cute or silly, please. Adult looking and classy would be better for Grad.
A more involved wedding set. Not just a line drawing of a dress. I don't know what it would be but I'd know it if I saw it!
Same with baby sets. More detailed please.
I agree with the thinner dies. I would love some that nest as well. That may be just a pipe dream.
I have been enjoying the individual stamps (the one Grad stamp I liked was the mini catalogue individual one). I can just get one and not have a set where I might not love more than one or two of them.
Oh, Yes, I am with you regarding both a larger and smaller size of the Top Note die. :-) LM

-More animal stamp sets, both cute and realistic.
-More birthday and sympathy sets and fewer new "friend" sets.
-new style punches in more sizes of the basic shapes like the scallop circle. And bring back the 1/4 inch circle and larger corner rounder please.

Here is a current lawsuit that Spellbinders has filed making of similar Nesties/cookie cutter nesting dies
Have all their prices gone up every year? I didn't bother to pay attention with the 2 main catalogs I've received in the year and a half I've been stamping.

No, they haven't gone up every year.
I will be buying new stuff even if they go up. I am assuming the catolog will be year long again so I can spread out my purchases.

YES YES a thousand times YES
oh and not every one is a Soldier/Army type.
not everybody flies a plane or wears combat boots either....
I saw Nestabilities in the AC Moore ad last week. It is listed as a brand new item. At first I thought that meant no way for SU. But, AC Moore carries sizzix, and so does Stampin Up, so you never know until you see the catalog.
while I haven't noticed a huge increase in prices over the years with the introduction of the new unmounted option, those of us on a budget are still able to purchase items without breaking the bank.. or our storage shelves...
I hope there isn't a single thing I want in the new catty. I DON'T want any cute stamps, flowers, trees, leaves, fun sentiments, cool backgrounds, versatile sets, stamps to make masculine cards easy, high-quality wood-mounted rubber, drop-dead gorgeous colors, shiny bling, soft ribbon, pretty samples, and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SU, are you listening TO ME!?!?!?!?
They're not listening to me. They never ever do. Darn them.

Nestabilites are (probably) patented, but there are other nesting dies. Quickutz makes some that are very similar to Nesties. Spellbinders is trying to sue, but I doubt they'll be able to prove that they created the only way to make a nesting shape.

All I'm hoping for is the dies that are in the American catalog are made permanent for us Australian residents!!! At the moment they are only in the Autumn Mini

Susan, that's too funny! I know what you mean. I just took almost a one year break from buying ANYTHING SU!! I finally broke down and bought some Brilliant Blue when it retired, because I am using it in an ongoing scrapbook. That got my juices flowing, and now I'm excited about the catalog. I plan on buying ONE new stamp set to get creative with! I have so many, and yet I still keep saying, "I don't have a 'such and such" stamp!" so I'm starting a list of what I DON'T have, too!
I wish they would check trends and have less cutsy stamps. More shabby chic would be very nice. Stores are closing left and right, so I think a bigger variety of stamps and supplies would be wonderful! I love the new mini catlog, first time in a long time! Maybe they are getting it again!
Maybe I'm the only one but I love the cutesy stamps with accessories- I'd love to see a new one for girls. I would love to see an updated kitchen/appliance stamp set too.
larger and smaller topnotes
larger/smaller of most of the recent punches so sentiments can be matted
second the idea of "congrats on your promotion" finishing your training.....which could also be used for non-military folks.
please more good nature ones and some colorin ones.......
and how about some cute mice and fabulous frogs?
