What does RAK mean and other questions?

Hi-

Can someone please tell me what RAK means? I figured out what all the other acronyms mean except for this one.

Also, how do you do a swap, or actually just a trade of sorts with someone? I want to see if someone has a few turtle or cow images I can trade or even send out postage/money for paper and they can send the images? Is there a place on this board for that as well?? Thanks

Oh & I should say....a RAK is when you send someone a card or other item either as a thank you for something for no reason at all and you don't expect anything in return. (Although sometimes people will RAK-back!)

RAK means Random Act of Kindness. Basically, you are sending a card, gift, ribbon, images, etc to another person (doesn't have to be a stamper) for sympathy, birthday, etc, or just for no reason. That happens a lot around here and it's really fun. I enjoy sending RAK's just as much as receiving them.

As for your images you're looking for, check out the swaps section for images or products. There you can post an ISO thread or even find someone who has the set you're looking for posted and swap with them. Check this thread out: Forums at Splitcoaststampers I've participated in this image swap many times and it's great. As for the other swaps, each one has listed in the swap directions the requirements. Any further questions about the swap can be directed to the swaps hostess. HTH

Once you get accepted to the RAK forum, there is a Wish-RAK sub-forum that is in the RAK forum where you can start off with 3 wishes of images you would like and as you grant other people's wishes then you earn bonus wishes. It is a blast!!
