I was looking at my LONG list of blogs today. Boy, has it grown! The first blog I ever read was Paperlicious, then I found more from the links on that site, then I found more on some of the SCS threads and then there was a huge growth when they all tagged each other and now I spend way too long reading them all.
On top of that, I feel like I "know" all the people who write the ones I visit most. It's weird - I have to stop myself from responding to threads they write here on SCS as if I know them. Like when Joan B asked for a discount code for a website, I have to remind myself that she doesn't know me from Adam and may well take offence if I respond saying "didn't you just buy ALL the Papertrey sets"
Onesided online relationships are very weird - or is it just me who bonds with peeps she doesn't actually know?

Julie HRR's blog was the first one I ever read. Her blog is what made me want to play too! Julie has that effect on people, you know!
LOL!

BUSTED!!!! This is so funny. Nah, I wouldn't take offense!! Thanks for this, it is my laugh of the day. I think the first blog I ever saw was Julie HRR's.
Isn't it weird and fabulous that we "know" people, but have never met them! Too much fun!!!

Mine were JulieHRR's, Lisa Johnson's and Michelle Laycocks - they were the only stamping blogs I knew of at the time, and after much thought I started my own over a year ago and not too long after that they took off like wildfire!!
Gina, you are one of those I feel like I "know" because you are on the daily read list......
I'm an open book! LOL!
Seriously, I'm glad you stop by each day. It's fun to start to get to know all the ladies (and guys) who comment on my blog. I love to hear people's opinions on issues and products. Very cool! I feel like I know you too. You start to feel that way from the forum here at Splitcoaststampers. Both blogs and this place really have brought me so many new friends.

The first blog I saw was Michelle Laycock's.
I don't have a blog list that I check on a regular basis. I'm doin' good to check the SCS challenges daily! But I wanna' play, I really do!

I wonder how Julie will feel when she find's out she was 'the first' for so many of us...me included!!! Although I don't do it everyday, blog-hopping is a favorite way to pass the time while DH watches the Redsox!!! You all have such interesting 'stuff' to share!!!! Thanks for that!

BUSTED indeed! However, you now have my permission to go ahead with whichever other purchases you have planned, as long as you share details!
My SU! demo sent me a link to a tutorial on SCS so that was my first but then I went to Andrea Walford's blog. Of course, I couldn't stop there so there are a few others, but I better get back to work!

AmyR's blog was the first one that I read. Hence, I wanna be like AmyR when I grow up!! But now I have a list of about 5-6 that I visit. I don't visit them all the time, and I DO click on random ones that I see in people's siggy's. I just think they are kinda fun to look at....but then again, I'm kinda a voyeur anyway! Hee, hee!
Michelle Laycocks Ink Artist http://www.inkartist.blogspot.com/ was the first one I read too. I subscribe to a ton of feeds now and catch up everyday. Blog browsing is fun.
Pretty sure the first one I saw was Michelle Laycock's. From her list those that I check frequently has grown so much. Have to force myself to stop reading and start actually stamping.

Bonding with strangers via blogs is weird--and wonderful. The key, I think, is to recognize the limits of the bond, LOL! Razzing Joan B for her spending spree is indeed in the spirit of fun and something her blog persona would certainly laugh at (and did!).
But I saw on one blog how the comments got really strange when a famous scrapbooker posted her love/hate post on the iPhone. People were "disappointed" in her for her attitude. What the heck is that all about?!?! It made me feel like running to her defense even though she didn't need help at all, LOL!
I love that blogs can be places to "share the love", support and encourage, and express opinions and ideas and inspiration. And yes, "bond" with perfect strangers in a new way.
My family is convinced that all the stampers I "know" from the internet are 67 year old men looking for trouble! Until the cards and gifts from my blogging and stamping buddies started arriving. Me thinks dirty old men aren't go to go to all the trouble to learn to make rockin' cards just to meet me!! LOL

Mmmmmm. You never know. We men, um I mean women, learn fast!
Way back in the spring of last year, when I was just starting to stamp, I googled Stampin' Up! and came across Michelle Laycock's blog which, in turn, led me here. Now I visit a ton of blogs, thought I can't always do it daily and I don't have time to comment as much as I would like. But I love getting to know people through their blogs and made some great on-line friends that way. And I absolutely adore the readers who visit my blog and are kind enough to comment. Knowing how little time most people have to leave comments, I really appreciate those who take that time to "talk" to me.
Seems like I remember first reading Mona Lisa Moments when Lisa branched out into some of her first design work. Well, as they say, the rest is history!
Taylored Expressions. Her stuff is AMAZING!! I didn't even know stampin blogs existed. Now I'm on a roll, I have quite a list of them I check regularly.
AmyR's was my first one, then quickly followed by JulieHRR and GinaK. I blame all 3 of you for the fact that I can barely walk into the room that just a year ago was an office and piano room. Now I need to move the piano to make room for more stuff!!

I have to agree with you on this... The enable me too much... but keep it going please...

Evil Genius JulieHRR had long desired to have her own piano, having studied classical music for a good portion of her early years (grades 3-12). However, she never could afford one.
In her adult years, as she dreamed and schemed on how to acquire one, she stumbled across Michelle Laycock's blog, the first stamping blog in history, and thus was born The Ultimate Grand Master Plan!
Her mission: To create a stamping blog that others would become so heavily influenced by, that they would no longer be able to house their own piano, and would subsequently donate it to Julie herself, in order to accommodate their ever-growing stamping and paper crafting stash of supplies.

Your plan worked ;)
