I am just curious on what types of items do you buy and then do not want to use?
I have so many nice and pretty scrapbooking papers that I have not used. 3 drawers full!
SU Rub-Ons is another one. I just the ones from SAB.
I think I am afraid to use them and then later on I would would want it for something else and then I would not have it as I already used it!!!
does that make sense? hope so.
Is any one else like this??? Please let me know I am not alone.
DH noticed my paper drawers last night and thats what got me thinking!
What don't i hoard, should be more of the question!
But, yes i do hoard DS paper---trying to use it more often, cuz i have learned that there is always something just as nice or nicer, so use it so i can buy more!
Rub-ons I have been using them on everything, just not cards, though! They seem to expensive(and that is just my thought process, lol) for cards, so i am using them on more permanent things, like votives, tins and stuff like that!
Specialty hardware, if i bought i cuz it was cute and might need it someday, that day never comes! I have so many clips and things that i will never use and yet can't get rid of,
I think we have to make a pact that you won't buy anything new, if you have something exactly like it at home, just in a different color or shape. Use it or don't buy it---yeah, better said than done!
Umm... Yeah, I hoard everything. It's a problem, I know it is.
Right now I'm hoarding stacks of patterned paper, in color cardstock from last year, these little black brads that I can't find anywhere else, a bunch of ribbon that I can no longer find so I don't want to use so I won't run out, rub ons, buttons, metal embellishments... The list goes on and on. I'm trying though to stop it though, I really am.
Yeah---i freed my in color cardstock from last year---it was tough, but i really haven't touched it, so i let it go to someone else, who is obviously hoarding it also, LOL I am almost ready to let my in color inkpads go too(but still on the fence with that one,may have to wait on that!)
Since I just pulled everything off my walls in my scrap and stamp room I have found out I hoard just about everything. I now wonder what in the world I was waiting for. I'm sure I bought everything with the best of intentions of using them but find that I run out of time and then the mood is lost. Ahh well. Once the new room is finished I swear I am going to use every last thing up before I buy more (well at least I will try)

This is my problem with rub-ons, they are a one-time use. It is hard for me to ever use them because it's just that one shot! I got the SAB ones, to "try" rub-ons, but I know they will just sit there for this very reason... I need to stick with stamps, that I can use over and over and not worry about running out.
I'm doing much better with paper, though. I know there will be better papers coming, so why hoard the stuff I have? And I can get many cards out of one piece.

I hoard just about everything too! (although, I've made a vow to sell it if I don't use it - but that just makes room for more!)
I'm bad with the SU designer prints - afraid to use them because I won't have enough for the "next" project.
glad to know everyones on the same page i hoard paper any kind of paper then im afraid to use it so then i buy double of everything in fact im going to my favorte scrapbook store to get some paper for my weekend retreat
Hardware. Esp. hodgepodge hardware. It's easier to use the brads and such that I buy at HL or M's, but the HH looks so pretty in its nice little compartments in the big ol' tin.... It doesn't want to be disturbed.
Otherwise, I'm happy to use stuff. I used to hoard pp, then realized how much I wasted since three years down the road, I'd wonder what in the world I had liked about it in the first place.
I read on a message board somewhere. . . and it made sense to me. The gal horded paper (me to) and then she realized that if she used it up she could buy more!!!! Now, that really made sense to me. I like to buy it, but never use it. . . SO if I use it I can buy more. It's a viscous circle but one tha I love! So use it up so you can go buy more and don't worry about using it up and never being able to replace it as the creators are one step ahead of use making new and more exciting stuff!
pretty much everything - but especially cardstock. I don't like using my "good" stuff. I don't understand myself at times. What exactly am I saving the "good" stuff for. I do use cheaper things on cards that I make for kids b/c I know that they will probably just be thrown away.

oh gosh what don't I hoard? I hold on to paper, in color stuff, ribbon... anything I think I might not be able to get my hands on in the future I am hesitant to use!!
I hoard printed paper. I find it too pretty to cut..which is ridiculous I know. After I decide to use it, I'll take it out then I put it right back and take another one because maybe one day I'll need it for something else.
I wouldn't necessarily say that I hoard it because I do use it but I seem to have a think with wanting my shelves to look full so I have TONS of ribbon. Must have it in EVERY color because you don't know when you might need it... paper, paper and more paper. Must have a good stack of every color and DSP to match each color family. And, my major one - Punches. I seem to HAVE to have everyone single one that is out there. When I put them in holder I have on the wall, I have to have something in every size. So they line up neatly. I'm obsessed with organizing it all and I have to have product to organize so I keep buying more if there is an empty spot. MUST STOP!!

Paper, ribbon, embellishments- I spend more time cleaning and organizing the multitude of "stuff" than I do crafting. What is up with that? I don't understand what I am saving it for...I am taking a vow....
Items that I hoard (saved for stroking, admiring and generally afraid to use)
Blooms
Ribbon
DP Paper
Cardstock
brads/eyelets/gems
glitter
stamps
ink
embleshments
albums
dst
and anything else in my craft room
I dont understand my logic, I dont want to use my good stuff....but when will I use it then?
I feel so proud of myself when I do use something....it makes me feel like I have overcome some of my hoardieness
I am a prima hoarder. I have all of these cute little colors and yet I'm always afraid to use them. I think I like looking at them all lined up better. LOL
Me too! I've never met a paper I didn't like. Well, maybe a few, but my favs are Basic Grey, Daisy D's, some Cosmo crickets, etc. Mostly I'm attracted to papers that would work well in collage works. (You know you have it bad when you can name the Top 10 Paper-sellers!)

Don't bother with the vow. It won't hold. I know, I've tried. Especially buying over the Internet. It really is a sickness. But in that case--I love being sick! It's so much fun!
