Default What are Snap Stamps?

I've seen Snap Stamps mentioned throughout this site a few times. Are they something different? Do they "snap" onto something or make a "snapping" sound when you use them? Is my total naivity about this making you pros giggle? Because I'm kinda making myself chuckle with these silly questions. Who ever heard of a stamp making a snapping sound when you used it? Ha ha ha.

Anyhoo, what are these?

They are alphabet and number sets that "snap" together. No major sound that I've noticed LOL! They are made by Karen Foster and are available at a number of different retailers. I got mine from KT Crafts (here's a link to one of the snap stamp sets : http://www.ktcrafts.com/catalog/item...9/2323844.htm). Hope that helps!

Oh, I should say, they snap together to form any word you'd like to stamp!

You can also get them at joann.com. The 1/8" and 1/4" are the best sizes. And I like the casual ones (lower case) better than the formal ones (upper case).

I've had no problems with them. I really like being able to write whatever word I want!

wierd ... it wouldn't work for me either. try this : http://www.ktcrafts.com/home.html . I found that they had the best price (for me anyway). Joanne's does not sell outside of the US.

I ordered some from ktcrafts.com as well, since even with the sale price at Jo-Ann's, it was less expensive at the other site...(I chose for USPS shipping, I know, I know, taking a risk here...I can't STAND shipping & Handling! ;))

I only got the 1/8" size, but kicking myself of course that I didn't get the 1/4" also...maybe for Christmas....

I love these as well. I have the casual and formal 1/8...so neat. My friend ordered them from Joann (she is in the free shipping club). Go to the gallery and search "snap stamps" you'll see how people incorporate them. They are very useful. And very affordable. Search the gallery you'll be hooked.

Got mine from JoAnn.com after reading here where someone suggested getting more than one set of the size you are interested in. That way you are sure to have enough letters to do pretty much a complete sentence.

When you don't have just the right "saying" stamp things are GREAT!!!!!

Also don't know if anyone has mentioned on this thread, but others have said its fun to mix the sizes as well!!!!

Bad enablers!! Bad! I've never seen these before and now I have to order 2 sets each of the casual and formal from Joanns.com because they are 40% AND free shipping (OCTFSH6254).

These sound really neat and much easier to use than a regualr alpha set. I have tried spelling words with single letters and have great problems lining them up. These snap stamps sound great. Next time I border hop I will look for them in JoAnns.

The stamp-a-ma-jig works great for lining up individual alpha stamps...check out Krabearkub's tutorial...it's GREAT!
