Default What is Stampin Start

I am thinking of becoming a demo and have read a lot of the threads about doing so. Several mention something called Stampin Start. What exactly is this and how does it work when you sign up to become a demo? Thanks so much.

Stampin Start is a great incentive program for new demos.
The Stampin’ Start program gives new demos two ways to earn FREE STAMP SETS --through sales or recruiting.

New demos can earn earn two sets when sales reach $1,500 US during the first full three months after you join, and you can earn an additional two free sets when you have your first recruit in the same period.

It's a really great way for SU to help new demos set and reach realistic goals.

And--who doesnt want free stamps!

And - these are ANY sets from any of the current catalogs....no price restrictions. I earned the 2 free sets and didn;t even know about the program...I was so psyched - and of course picked the two most expecive sets on my wish list!

And - SU gives you free shipping on your first workshop to help you get started....which can add up! On a $300 workshop, that is an extra $30 in your pocket!!

Well, that sounds great. And I didn't know about the free shipping on the first workshop either. Or is this how the 30 percent instant income is given. So, is it 30 percent discount on first order plus free shipping or 20 percent and free shipping which makes the total of 30 percent?

Thanks for the early welcome too. I plan to make a final decision by next week; but I am 99% certain I will be joining. Thanks again for sharing the info.

Actually on your first workshop order they now give the 30% instant income instead of the free shipping....kind of works out the same and is a great boost on your first hostess order. My new (and only) recruit just did her first workshop yesterday and is still in shock over her first instant income. Really helps with the extra things on your wish list.

Hi, I just wanted you to know that Stampin' Up! no longer offers the free shipping on your first order. They do give you the 30% instant income on your first order, though.

Wishing you the best with your decision. I have been a demo for 2 years now and just LOVE it!! I'm sure you will, too!!

Is the 30% valid for your VERY first order only, or for your first HOSTESS order?? As I understand it, orders can be placed as either supply or Hostess? I'd hate to waste my 30% on a smaller order to purchase some supplies for my first workshop!

TIA!!

the 30% is hostess only, you can place supply, demo and customer orders and save the 30% for a bigger order (within 45 days of signing up). i had to do an order prior to my first ws because i didn't have enough of everything i needed for the projects but i was still able to get the 30% on my big order.
