What are thoughts and ideas are for next years catalog.what do you want to see in it.
I started this same thread last year but not as early as now.But I know that SU is already planning to put together stamps and products and ideas for next year since they need to start now to get it going.

I love the new in colors.I will be getting all of them but I would like to see markers to go with them.and 12x12 paper also.cartridges.
Keep the designer series paper.they are beautiful,we need more like these, the timeworn paper can go.add the designer paper from the mini catalogs, summer, holiday, halloween papers, and keep all the designer series paper you have now.

I want Mono Multi in the SU catalog! I love this stuff and think it should be in there as an option to use!
I agree Markers in the new *In* colors, although I made my own with a dried out blender pen and the refills!

• Dog sets
• More masculine sets, including a fishing set
• Bring back the large ribbon variety
• Bring back individual packaging for eyelets in gold, copper, silver, white and black
• Markers in In-Color colors
Question: did anyone compare the suggestions from last year to the catalog to see how many of the suggestions actually made it?
More 50's-60's retro looking sets like Pattern of Friendship (did not like the stamping one though).
More sympathy.
More get well.
More masculine sets.
More nature sets that are not flowers.
More travel theme sets.
Keep the carribean blue color.
Bazille cardstock.
AND most of all I want UNMOUNTED option!
I Would LOVE to see the "In Color" cardstock remain & additional offering of markers, brads, etc. for the cardstock.
Again, more masculine sets and a decent (sorry for those that like the new one) soccer stamp set. One of my sons plays college soccer that set just won't quite pull it off for me.
Also the neutral cardstock (going gray, sahara sand, etc) sold as assorted packages.
All in all I am pleased with the new catty & truly believe SU listens to their customers (NO, I'm not a demo) Ha!!!!
I would like to see
1, Drum/music set
2, Fishing set (not fly fishing)
3, Nascar racing type set
4, Semi-truck type set
5, Updated Cuddles and Tickles (Retired set)
I want a better get well set. Sometimes you need to send a card to someone who is suffering from a long term illness long cancer or MS and the get well soon just doesn't cut it.
New baby sets
More wowsa sets for level 3 hostess like Island Blossoms
I'm sure I can think of more later. . .too early here
A carrying tote to slip the Color Caddy in when you go for crops/weekend stamp camps. I would like to see almost an upright duffle type bag with closure at the top and pockets, etc.
A few more stamps for teens - boys and girls. - like a school locker, globe, etc. and maybe three separate stamps: Middle High School.
A stamp for Camps - (like children's camps or church camps) - maybe one that says Friend, Cabin, Dances, etc.

I would like to see the In Colors stay on. Also more Easter sets. I only saw one in this years catalog. I love the Chirstmas set that I have gotten, but some new ones would be neat to see. Like a BG of the 12 days of Christmas or any other Christmas Carol. I have a set form 1997 with three carolers & lamp post. That would be neat behind them.

First off, I agree, assorted pack of neutrals as well as assorted pack of the gold silver and copper cardstock. Better Christmas sets. I ended up looking for a retired set and have bought that for my cards this year, for example a stamp of a church or bringing back the snow globe set would be great! BTW, good job on getting more little boy stamps, now just need stamps for age range from 7 - 15. Please create more wow projects in the main catalog. I remember constantly looking at my 2005 catalog and loving all the neat projects and trying to figure out how it was done, and this year's catalog I have not had the same inclination. There doesn't seem to be any eye popping examples other than what is on the front cover. Wider Gingham ribbon. Distressing inks. A portable carrier for the stamp pads. A technique/layout book on how to make good looking cards using theories such as the triangle layout, etc.... Offering the pieces that are in the Hodgepodge hardware in different colors. Twinkling H2O.
Here's my list. I think I posted some of it for this year's catalog.
1. Shakespeare quotes, and not just lovey-dubby ones, in a nice font.
2. Nice font small phrase set: dream a little dream, once upon a time, wish upon a star, my hero, etc.
3. A better Jewish set! A star large enough to be a focal image, hallah, candles (every holiday has candles!), a kiddush cup (same thing), Chag Sameach (spelled anyway they want that is understandable), and (MOST importantly) Shalom! Shalom works for EVERYTHING and it is always spelled the same!!!! A Hannukah image, maybe a seder plate, apples and honey would all be good additions. The Torah scroll from L'Chayim was nice. I'd give my punch collection for a Shalom, though!
4. Scallop punches, and some long reach punches, too.
5. A theater/performing arts set. Maybe a procenium, appropriate well-wishes, All the world's a stage quote, spotlight, microphone, dance shoes, sheet music, drama masks, something! Coming up with images is hard, which may be why they haven't done it before, but if it's good I know SO many people who would want this!!!!!!!
6. I'd love a maroon and a blue/red burgundy. The Caribbean color must stay!!
That's all I can think of now. I know there was more that I wanted!
I would also like to see scribbles.I think that is what it is called.they have all differant colors I love the look they leave on a card .
I'm not sure what scribbles are. If you mean rub-on doodles. I'm all for that. Also I have another vote for the mono-multi. I haven't tried it but have heard great things about it. I love the snail and the mini glue dots but it is good to have more variety in adhesive.
I would LOVE to see hardware refills.
Another vote for more alterable items.
I LOVE the new on board mattboard sets. A new one would be nice next year.
There are other ideas I have but have left those because my wishlist of what is actually in the catty is so long that that I only included here what I would jump at buying, not what I'd like to see and maybe buy.

A horse/horseshoe stamp set
A fire truck/ambulance/police car set - little boy style
A cute fish set
More easter sets
A four leaf clover/irish stamp set
More sets like Warm Words
Prima type flowers
I'd like to see the SS Friends & Flowers kit be available to purchase - I LOVE that set!
More SS kits
I could do without the Timeworn paper collection - I think it's awful. I think the Playhouse and Treehouse papers are pretty bad too. In general, I'd like to see better designer series paper.
A good Christmas Set! (Sorry for the repeat!)
Scalloped Punches
All different colors of glitter including black!
More sympathy stamps
More fun stamps like amuse
Better words
Different masculine selections
More humorous sayings
Humorous masculine sets
Gingham & grosgrain ribbon in all 48 colors
Watercolor pencils that match all the SU colors!
My best customer asks about afrocentric designs almost every time she places an order. Not only abstract designs similar to the retired Heart of Africa wheel, but people as well. She doesn't want to have to always mask and use markers to give those children some kinky hair, fuller lips and a broader nose!
My aunt made a similar comment about the lack of "ethnic" stamps when she was looking through my copy of last year's catalog during a visit after I told her about my new demonstratorship. The only stamp she found in the entire book was that little girl in Charming Children.

I would love a wheel that looked like gingham ribbon, wouldn't that be cool?
Hardware sold in smaller packages and by type, not assorted
A realistic airplane set
Staz on cleaner
more patterend ribbon
metallic watercolor crayons
a good dog set, I only like Bow Wow
hmm, I am sure there is more,,,
I say yes to the suggestions above especially more masculine stamps. I love SU's background stamps so I would like to see more. Also, I would love to see some classey angel stamps, clear so as to be able to watercolor pencil in them.
I second the grosgrain ribbon in tons of colors, too!
I'm still holding out for a medical set. You know with a stethoscope, syringe, band-aid, scapel, pill bottle, etc.... I think it would work well for get well cards and I want it for my scrapbook of my vet school stuff. ;)
I would like to see more realistic animal sets and not just dog and cat. Perhaps some with exotic pets like birds, rodents, reptiles.
Fewer cartoonish & cutesy stamps and more realistic stamps.
More masculine sets.
Be able to pick & choose among different word sets - for instance, picking 4 out of 8 in a set for a lower price.
A village set - stamps of different houses - preferably like Williamsburg, with trees/bushes to go with them.
A Mardi Gras set.
Background stamps in different languages for Christmas, birthdays, etc.
