Okay - here's another question. Are they all from one colour family, or can you choose your own assortment?
Just got an email from my demo...she said that you can just write the color family you want at the top of your form; if no color family is specified, they'll send you Bold Brights.

I'm so glad I waited too....and how wonderful that we do not have to wait until 8/1 - it starts today. I love SU! So this is what it is like to work for a good company...
I'm so excited and no one at work to tell, who cares anyway!
Thank you sooooo much for sharing, wonder how many people's day you made!?
That's a cool promotion for the US new demos. In Canada, the promotion is a free set of classic pads with party sales over $675 (not a bad promotion either!).

That Canada promo is great too! So Sarah, does that mean that if you do 4 workshops each with that much in net sales, then you can earn ALL 4 families??? THAT would be an awesome promotion!!
yes... DS has said the 12 are in addition to the 6 in the starter kit! That is a total of 18 stamp sets..
I feel for the Canadian demos who are trying to recruit but what an awesome deal for the hostesses and demos who are trying to build up their business... And think.. With your commission from a $650 show, you could buy your own stamp sets and still be spending off your profits!!
Yea!! I'm glad I waited too. Thanks to SCS who informed of a potential promo!! I'm almost done filling my paperwork, now I just need to find a demo to sign up under!
I was definitely curious about being a "hobby" demo after reading all the posts here. You guys definitely motivate people. Plus I was always secretly curious about what you talked about in the Demo only forums. So I asked my long distance demo what all was involved and what were the quotas, perks, committments, etc. My LD demo told me about the August promotion and now it sounds like the kit is worth over $400 now. Hard to pass up a deal like that! My demo and her sister are both heading to SU convention....we'll probably talk more after that. I'm very tempted! Just placed an order yesterday for goodies. C'mon on down Brown!!! ;)

I made a mistake on my original post about the Canadian promotion-- it's party sales of $650, not $675. And the free set of stamp pads goes to the hostess of the party, not to the demo (too bad, kinda!). Anyway, hopefully it will encourage bookings and high sales!
WOO HOO! I'm so thrilled. Been talking with my demo about signing up and doing it sort of as mainly a hobby demo type thing, but just running one club to help make the minimums! I'm so excited. This DEFINITELY makes it worth it!! WOO HOO!

Sarah
That's still pretty cool! My first workshop netted over $850 US because it was sellabration and everyone wanted in! That is such a great incentive for the hostess to bump up her sales. I'm almost jealous - almost.. ;)
My SU Demo just called me and said the New Demo Sign-Up Special is that the kit will ALSO include a Color Group set of your choice of 12 classic pads. She said it is on the SU website in the demo section. I think she said it is effective today.
WHOOHOOOOOOO -- SIGN ME UP!!

I just emailed my demo friend about this. I too have been sitting on the fence, indecisive about whether or not to sign up. This is a pretty big PUSH off!
If you are fence sitting this deal is soo much better than the $30 off in April.. It is worth more and also if for some reason you already have the pads that come in the color you can sell them off to your new customers (or a friend) and help to pay back some of the money you invested for the starter kit!

Go for it and join the SU family!
oh!!! Good point. I am sitting ehre thinking "but i LAREADY have ALL the ink pads"....but I am still pondering if I want to be a demo or not.....
I got my notice yesterday that I was accepted as a demo!!! I guess I was 1 day too soon!!! just my luck!
I had mailed my stuff in Monday!! My demo called them this morning to see if I had been entered in the computers yet and I hadn't. This afternoon, they called my demo to see which family I might want. WOOOOOOOOOOT!! I just barely slid in there.

You can also use them as incentives (book a workshop, get a free ink pad) Use them as raffles and door prizes and hostess gifts as well! Don't necessarily need to sell them as stock... Just my thoughts...
