I voted 2004, since that's what my profile says... but I joined in Jul 2003 the first time to see some stuff a friend posted. I was on a bunch of email lists then, so didn't come back for a year... and then forgot that I'd joined and made a new id! lol! I'm still not sure what the old one was, otherwise I'd ask TPTB to merge my accounts. ;)

Huh??? Our Belinda "forgot"????!!!
Quick! Time to grab a calendar!
I joined sometime in 2004. I had just become a Stampin' Up! demo and other demos where talking about SCS on the demo only - Stampin' Discuss. The rest is history. If I hadn't found this place, I would be a totally different person, doing something totally different!
I looked at my member# 4947!
I joined right about the time LunarLana hit a skunk. I don't remember all the details!! LOL

Same thing for me. I have an earlier ID that I apparently did not remember when I next came to the site and signed up again. I never knew until about a year or two ago when I got a message to update my email and I when I would try to do that, I kept getting an error that my email address was already being used by someone else! When I asked for help with finding out what was happening, I was told I had another ID! I have never posted from it but I logged in and saw it was from Jan. 2004. I should probably merge the 2 IDs (I like that the first ID is just my first name), but would I lose anything like messages and gallery postings?
Anyway,
Jan 15, 2004 my member ID is 1852
and Jul 13, 2004 my member ID is 8518.

Big growth during 2004 for SCS!
Yep, we can (and should!) merge 'em. Send me an email, and we'll get everything sorted out.
For me it was May 2004 (at least that's what I *think* my profile says - I'll know after I post this!), and I found this place because I was on Two Peas at the time. They had a General Stamping Forum, and those wonderfully PATIENT gals taught me how to stamp! Yes indeedy, they did! Just through messages - unbelievable! Later on, one of the gals there said they took turns answering my questions! <g> That was back before I even KNEW that SU excited. I bought unmounted rubber stamps, Hero Arts and whatever was in the craft stores, to add to my scrapbook pages. Not being a card *sender*, I remember seeing a Happy Birthday stamp at a craft store and wondering why on earth I'd want to stamp THAT on a scrapbook page?! <G>
So then I discovered SU and started going to Stamp Camps and got hooked. In May 2004 someone on Two Peas mentioned SCS and the rest is history! I became a demo in July, and I think it was largely because of the creativity I saw here!!
I just "celebrated" my 5th anniversary on SCS (and I've been a Fan Club Member since the beginning of the Fan Club) and my 5th anniversary with SU!!

I checked my profile and found that I joined in March 2005. I had hung around here for awhile before I joined. Found this place by accident on the web and have learned so much from all the wonderful artists on here. Thank you to everyone for sharing your work with us and also to all who keep this place going.
Anyone remember going to Lori's gallery (don't know the exact website, sorry) for stamp set samples? Or PatStamps.com? She had and still HAS an awesome gallery! She also runs the Technique Junkies Newsletter. Those were the two other sources for card ideas, and when the SCS website was down for some reason, I'd go over there! <g>

I joined in February 2005. My member number is 32152. I'm on here alot and sometimes I feel like I post pretty often, but my total doesn't show that. I love it here and I'm grateful for everyone's comments and all the wonderful things that I have learned from all of you!
