It's totally a matter of opinion...If you invest in the stampin' spots you can get all the families!!!

Depends what time of year it is! As the seasons change, I find myself reaching for different color families - without even realizing it.

Spring - Soft Subtles
Summer - Bold brights
Fall - Earth Elements
Winter - Rich Regals

Guess that doesn't help you much does it?

I completely agree with the last post. If it is any help at all, I started with the Bold Brights, but it didn't take long before I was buying Soft Subltes. Good luck.

I started with Bold Brights. Now slowly going into Soft Subtles. I love samples that I have seen with Earth Elements too. So I might have to move in that direction soon.

I agree also. Depends on the time of year. I find that my least favorite is earth elements. Probably my favorite is the soft subtles.

The colors I gravitate to are:
more mustard
ruby red
old olive
basic brown or basic black
brocade blue

These colors are also a reflection in my decorating choices throughout my home. My advise would be to sit down and go through the color groups that strike you first. Then in that group choose colors that really sing to you. You may also want to think about upcoming projcts that you would like to complete. For instance, springtime cards or scrapbook pages, the soft suptles color group might be your best bet for inspiration. It's so nice to have all the colors grouped into "families" because it makes this process so much easier. hope this helps!
