Mine was A Merry Season. I bought it to make Christmas cards. I look back at the cards now and laugh. There was no layering, no embellishments, nothing! Just a plain white card with the images colored in using the SU markers. And I bought cheap white cards from Michael's (to stamp on) so the image bled through to the inside of the card. Yikes! It's interesting how things change. I did a lousy trimming job on the stamps, too. Now I trim them really close.

Yup, I noticed that I can't stand to use my first sets because I did such a terrible job of trimming them. I really need to microwave them, unmount, trim, and re-stick them.
Oh, I think my first was that retired butterfly set - Flutterby? I also got a fish set because my bathroom was done in fish. What was I thinking?
My first set was called Branch or Branches. I didn't know to put the label on the container then. I don't know what year it was, but it's been quite a few. I think the African set that Julie mentioned may be "In The Wild". I still like that set. I've never sold or given away my sets. They're so special to me.

My first set was Favorite Teddy Bear, Seaside sketches, close to cocoa ink pad. If you spent $75 you got one of the sell-albration sets free. I got the best blossoms. Now the addiction has started and it runs deep...lol.

MIne was a lower case alphabet set. It has long since retired. I dont even know the name of it, because I didnt know to put the name label on the container! LOL
Mine was a FaLaLa Christmas set - maybe Song in the Air? A very LONG time ago, and like many - I didn't put the name on like I do now. Worst thing that ever happened to me - Jumped into 60 Christmas cards, but chinced on ink. Had to emboss them ALL!!!n It was tragic. Oh well, a lesson well learned and passed on to present customers.
In the Sky..I remember ordering it 3 years ago from my DDIL to help her out cause I just didn't understand why anyone would want to spend THAT kind of money for rubber stamps. 150 sets later.... My DDIL now complains I have more toys than she does..LOL No looking back!
My first set was 'Cuddles and Tickles.' I was pregnant for my little girl and wanted to make my own Birth Announcement Cards. I spent $100 on ink, cardstock and adhesive and make 96 cards! I was hooked, plus it was great value for the money.
I tell all my customers this story, the next year, after I caught my breath and Janna was sleeping through the night, I signed up as a demonstrator.

My first order was for 2 sets, Seasons Sketches and A Greeting for All Reasons. It was during Sell-a-bration and I got Fun Filled, but now wish I would have gotten All I have Seen, the one my daughter got. I still use A Greeting for All Reasons a lot.

Love Bakes. I went to a demo not even really liking stamping. Put the set on the shelf and left it there to collect dust. That was in 1998. Pulled it back out again since I now LOVE stamping. Glad I kept it.
Cuddles & Tickles ... for announcements. I was pregnant with my second child when my addiction began! I still have it - will probably never part with it!

Mine was "A Beautiful Season" about 3.7 years ago, followed by "Good times" and then "Cute as a bug" then I became a demo!! and it has been downhill ever since ( in my finance department!!!)

That's funny...same here.
My very first SU stamp was Old World Map background. I never use it, but love it so much I cannot part with it!
My first stamp set purchase ever was I Like Your Style. The funny thing about this stamp set was that I bought it and have misplaced it. I cannot, for the life of me, know where it is at. I have never even used it once. Hopefully it'll turn up one day.
Nice and Easy Notes. I thought it would be versatile for lots of types of cards. It's not my style anymore, but I did just make some cute get well cards with the pill bottle stamp. I wonder if it will ever retire?
My first set was "The Chill of Winter". It's a victorian scene with skaters. I used it for Christmas cocktail party invitations. I since traded it with SU when they were doing that special promotion with demos from NY.
A Noah's Ark set and a Nativity. I think they were sets from 1995. I sold them in a moving sale in 2004 for $6 each. I bet I could have gotten a TON for them on Ebay. I just didn't know what I had. To me they were a pain because you had to mask ALL of the time. I also did not have good tools for coloring like I do now.
