My most coveted retired set has to be Tractor Time, but I will not spend $50-$100 on Ebay to get it. I even sent an email to Stampin' Up begging them to help me get one. Can't blame a person for trying!!!
I just started stamping last March, so there are a lot of neat sets I missed out on. I did just recently acquire Gifts of Spring, which I fell in love with when I got an old 03-04 catalog. I love my Paint Prints, which I won as a door prize at my demo's open house. I never win anything. I got a bunch of retired stamps in a donation box from SU, which included Snow Angels and All Aboard. So I have quite a few retired sets that I think are SO worth hanging onto.
What type of donation did you get? What was it for?

I sent in a request for a donation for my Girl Scout troop. We made cards and pen-pal packets for some of the victims of Hurricane Katrina and some more at Christmas time for a women's shelter. It was several hundred dollars worth of retired stamps, paper, even a set of markers. Very generous of SU. They are an awesome company!!

Here's one no one has mentioned.... Swirl Frame Fun. When I go on a scrapbook retreat twice a year, it gets borrowed like crazy. I will not part with it. I'd like to have Yeehaw!- the cowboy set.

A set called Congratulations dated 2001. It was only out 1 year. I bought it here at SCS on B/S/T. I'll NEVER part with it. It's so versitale -- baby, retirement, new home, graduate! You can't find a set that covers so many!
Also, a set that's retired that I don't have but REALLY want, Filigree!
I would love to have that Sketches set, at least I think that's the name of it. The one with the lady sitting in a chair, reading a book. Someone sent me a card with that on it and I really liked it!
I've only been stamping for a little over a year so I don't have a big collection... yet. But I do have Season's Sketches and I really do love them, they made the prettiest Christmas cards!!
Hmm-most coveted--that means one that I REALLY, REALLY want, one that others have, and I COVET.
It would have to be What's Brewin' (for me) and For the Love of Chocolate (for my DIL).
The one I covet: I think it's called Victorian Fern . . . it's a background stamp and I've only ever seen it on eBay. I don't know how old it is, but I have the last 5 years of catalogues, and it wasn't in any of them.
Did someone say I could only pick one? What can I say -- I love my retired sets!

The one that I covet/want the most is Watercolor Garden 2. I love this set but don't have it:( But there are so many great sets that SU has that it makes me crazy!
For me I have a few....For The Love of Chocolate , Cowboy Christmas, and Paisely BG. Just won Joys of the Season so can cross that off the list.
BTW...slight hijack if anyone would want to sell their set...I'd be interested.

Mine is Paint Prints (does that count as retired?) It is my all time favorite set and was so disappointed that it didn't make it into the catalog last year. Whenever I need a quick sympathy card this is the set that gets pulled off the shelf. I don't think I'll ever part with it.
Me too! I still use it all the time. I was so surprised that it didn't make it into this year's catalog! I also love Flower Factory and Fanciful Flowers (can you tell I like flowers?)
I finally got "tractor Time". I thought I would make something special for my nephew and niece but my nephew who is 13 found it. He almost did cart wheels down the hall. He has always thought John Deer Tractors are named after him. His name is John Wayne. No one has had the heart yet to tell him any different. We've always called him John dear. Tooo Cute.
Godspeed -- I have seen more requests for this one and almost did not order it. I make cards to sell at craft shows and designed a card with this set and we give them away to folks with a love one overseas.

Sweet Herbs and Garden Pleasures. I love herbs. I hope they have a new herb stamp in the next catalog. Last year, a lady rak'd me a pack of hand stamped cards. This was my first introduction to stamping and Stampin' Up. I searched ebay until I found the Sweet Herbs set and bought it. It was my very first stamp set and I'll not let it go! ;)
