I like to put a dab of crystal effects in the centre of a flower and then sprinkle on the microbeads.

Fun for shaker boxes. Also fun to stamp on a metal edged tag, cover with CE and cove that with the micro beads. Remember, they can be "dyed to match" too!

I used a strips of sticky tape over a stamped image, and then put the clear beads over the top. It gave it a cool effect, and you could still see the stamped image through the beads.
They also work well for beaded pens - I am going to try that this week

Tam, how do you dye your microbeads? Sounds very messy! <G>

Default color microbeads

You use the refills of the stazon pads. Put a couple of drops in a container (that you dont mind getting destroyed) add the beads in the container and stir with a plastic spoon, etc. until you have the shade of color that you want. Dump out the beads on a paper towel, etc. and let the beads dry. They may require overnight to dry. If they are clumped in the morning put them in a film canister or another container and shake. Your beads are done.

LOVE microbeads. These two designs "clued" me in on how to use them for card accents. I CASE'd them both to put in my set sampler for this set. THANKS LADIES!

Microbeads look awesome on the center of flowers (as previously mentioned). This is my 100% original creation (something that doesn't happen often), which I submitted to SU! for their monthly demonstrator contest and to SCS for the March "Where the Wild Things Are" contest.

If you have any of the shoe stamps, use the Aqua Painter to "paint" the shoe with Baroque Burgundy. Cover with Crystal Effects & Microbeads for beautiful "Ruby Slippers."

I put Microbeads on the ear of corn from the Farm Fresh set and it really sets the corn off. I didn't post my card because I CASE'd my design almost exactly from the Farm Fresh gallery, only adding the microbeads as my little "tweak" to the card.

Here are a couple of tips for using CE with the microbeads.
* Use your embossing buddy before applying Crystal Effects and microbeads to keep them from sticking where you don't want them.
* Put a thin, even coat of crystal effects only on the area you want to decorate.
* Use a Powder Pal tray to keep any stray beads from getting lost.
* Slide your card into the microbeads container and press the beads onto the Crystal Effects. Flatten out the beads so there is only one layer of beads on your cards. This keeps it from looking clumpy.
* Use a darker color (or layer of colors) than you normally would for the area you are going to cover with Microbeads. The beads will diffuse and soften the color.
* Watercoloring looks beautiful under microbeads. The variation of color from light to dark, with highlighting and shadows is awesome under microbeads.
