Might I add something here.....

There is a Company out there for everyone!

Whether you want to become a demo or just purchase from them.

There's not one company that can fill all of our needs and wants.

So Do some checking Ask for information about the company. The ups and the Downs about the company.

If you like one company better and purchase items from them and use them, Then this should be the company that you choose.

If you join up as a demo and you don't enjoy using the stamps or the supplies...Then I would think that this would be a waste of you're time and Money!

To really know what each company has to offer in the way of stamps and supplies would be to purchase something from them and then decide from their.

This is why I don't know much about CTMH is because I have only purchased one thing from them and it wasn't stamps.

I can't tell you anything about their Paper, inks, or supplies. or Stamps.
The only thing I can tell you is they have a kick -ss Stapler that turns.

Another question that may be stupid....When you say "workshop" do you mean "party" as in there is a hostess who invites folks and you demo? Or when you say "workshop," are you talking about the demo having a "class" etc in her home or space where folks come and do make and takes?

Do most demonstrators spend more of their time doing workshops than parties or visa versa? I can see myself doing workshops, but parties would be more difficult for me because I'm not a gung ho sales type.

When I say Workshop I mean have a class.
Home parties are just what is sounds like, where you invite you friends over.

Catalog parties are Where someone passes the catalog around to their friends and then takes order from them and adds to their own sales.

Stamp Camps I think would fall into the same place as Workshops Teach new Techs.

TAC calls most of their parties :"FunShops"

Another thing with TAC as a Demo you can take Customer Direct orders for any amount of money.

In fact I have done a Customer Direct order for just $5.95 Cause that was all the person wanted to spend.
And that's fine!

Customer Direct orders are for under $100.00 and Funshop are $100.00 an more.

I do a lot of Customer Direct orders.

Thanks..that helps clarify things. How could I find a demonstrator for TAC in my local area? I went to the TAC site and was very impressed by the images.

You can either call TAC at 785 820-9181 or go to the Website and click on Shop now! It will have some Demo's that might be close to you.

Only Demo that have paid for the Website will be shown there. and their might be other close to you that are not listed on the website.

Some TAC demos do their FunShops/parties/workshops in different ways. We do not all have to do them exactly the same. For example, I give my hostesses a choice of mostly demonstration and one make-n-take or jump right in and do three projects. The small materials fee ($5) is waived if guests order $30 or more from the FunShop.

This way, the guests get their hands on the products and remember what to do with it when they receive it if it's something new to them. I throw in little bonus demos as we go along. I have VERY few hostesses choose the first options. They all want the hands-on, and invitations are worded such that everything is stated clearly and such. I've found that guests enjoy their products better later after these kinds of FunShops too. (I do other kinds of "teaching/technique" classes and fun events as well.)

So...not all demos do things have to do things the same way. ;-) You get to do what fits your style. ;-)

I would think that is would be for a SU demo only.


I know that TAC Demo can order a Website for their use.
And when you break it down on yearly bases it would be $8.33 a month or
6 months: $9.99 a month.
But right now We have to pay up front for either a Year Sub. or 6 month Sub.

Which is really a good thing.

Thanks ladies for all the info...I'm waiting on a TAC and a CTMH catty, I already have the SU catty. I'll look thru them, pray about it and then make my decision. I may still just be a buyer instead of a seller......

Those of you that are demos....how many hours a week do you spend "working".

I spend about 15-20 (estimate) hours a week doing different stuff for my business. Sometimes it is more if I have workshops, gatherings or crops. You choose how much time you want to put in your business. The more time I spend working on CTMH stuff the better results I see in my business. You can busy or as slow as you want to be. I prefer busy.

The $7.95 site is a web wizard site set up for Demos to advertise their individual businesses online. You can click on mine if you would like to see a sample it is in my signiture line. You can subscribe if you are a demo under business resources on the demo site.

Otherwise the official SU site is just stampinup.com. You can see all the current catalogs, specials and find a demo through the site. There are other resources there as well for free.

I hope that answers your question.

Also the $7.95 a month is a month to month subscription. You can cancel at any time and they will just run it thru the current month and there is no obligation to continue if it doesn't work for you.

This is a great way to find out all about each company...And Prayer is always helpful too!

As far as spending time with my TAC business. I say I spend about 15 hours a week on it.

Sometimes I think I should be spending more time.

It's totally up to you on how much or how little time you put into your business.

Because it reaches others that might not have ever heard about you or the company.

I Love my Website!!

With TAC website's it let's you place orders day or night.
the only drawback to ordering online is there are NO freebies. That you would get if you ordered through your demo.

but if you just wanted to order stamps and supplies without having to talk with a demo then the websites allow you to do so.

The Demo area here at SCS is for SU Demos only. A Shade of Blue has a TAC Demo only forum that has great info. ;)

As a former SU demo and now a TAC Angel, I can say I like TAC better because of their low minimum sales requirement. I became a TAC Angel 2 yrs ago and have been able to maintain the quota on my own. I basically do it as a hobbyist. How easy is it for one to spend $25 a month on stuff? (minimum is $100 every 4 months) I could spend that alone at the local craft stores.

Default Here is what I give to my Stampers on types of Inks

Types of Inks

There are a variety of types of inks available for use in scrapbooking. Each has its own distinct characteristics, and is appropriate for different applications.
Dye ink is what is most commonly used for basic stamping. It dries quickly and is non-toxic, but may fade over time. Most of the ink I use is dye ink. It is great for stamping embellishments or making custom backgrounds and titles. Dye ink soaks into the paper on which it is stamped.
Pigment ink is thicker than dye ink, and the colors are generally more vivid and richer. Paper does not absorb pigment ink; instead, it dries on the paper's surface. For that reason, pigment ink takes much longer to dry than dye ink. You can hasten the drying process with a heat tool, but pigment ink is not a good option for glossy paper or vellum.
Versamark ink is a special kind of pigment ink. It is clear, and creates a watermark effect on cardstock. Among the special techniques you can do with Versamark is "pop-chalking" - a technique by which you stamp an image, then rub a cotton ball or cotton swab covered in chalk across it, making the image "pop" from the page.
Chalk ink is fast-drying like dye ink, but produces crisper images and brighter colors, like pigment ink.
Embossing ink is very slow-drying and "juicy", making it perfect for heat-embossing. You can buy embossing ink and markers in a variety of colors, but clear is the one most often used.
Permanent ink is used for stamping on tile, glass, and other non-porous materials that will not readily take other types of ink. StazOn is probably the best-known brand of this type.

The Angel Company (TAC) Does not have a catalog like Stampin' up! does.

But you can view what products we carry.

Some have their name and ismyangel.net
other's might have My Website.
When you do find a demo in your area look under products and then stamps.

Sorry they are not like a regular Catalog but you can still see what we have in the way of Stamps and supplies.

I've never been a demo so I don't have products I need to sell. I have tried CTMH, Creative Memories and Stampin' Up. I have to say "Stampin' Up" is the best by far. The quality and color of their cardstock is the best! You can match cardstock with designer paper. The scrapping kits they have are the best I think as well. Good luck with your decision!!

If you are a Demo with The Angel Company you will recieve a Monthly Newletter with all the information and specials that are going on in the month to come.

TAC has Great Demo Support as well.

I've been with them for 4 years now and If I have a problem I call them and I find my answers fast.

By being a Demo for TAC you earn 25% commission on Retail sales.

Also you will recieve a 30% discount for your own personal purchases. NO Commission is given.

Our Catalogs and supplies You do not recieve any commission or discounts on.

Most of us have online websites called Angelnet.

You don't have to have a website unless you wish to have one.

Also if you are the Angelnet you will recieve referrals.
And can be found on the demo Locator list.

So when you doing a Find a Demo in your area. and the closes one to you might me 50 miles away this is why.
Look for a demo under "Shop Now"
I would then called TAC directly to see if there is one closer to you.
