I had to go to two Targets today and I noticed the SAME thing at both. The s'book aisle was near empty and lots of stuff was on clearance. Are they upgrading, or are the eliminating. Oh, please don't tell me eliminating. When I asked the girl at the counter she was like, "HUH?" I dropped it!

LMK if you can...

You actually expected to get Customer Service at TARGET?! LOL! ;-) LM
I have noticed this too, but also noticed that they have had tons of scrabooking stuff in their $1 section. Eyelets, brads, embellishments, and even some stamps. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm....
Our target just closed and a new super target opened they have Prima (flowers, ribbons, chipboard, etc.) MM stuff, wall words, wall letters, etc. They had ellison side kick thing and alphabet sets and the single die-cuts. I was amazed with all the stuff they had!
Seems like they like to put everything on clearance when they get ready to put fresh supplies in. Have happened a couple of times at my local Super T and everytime they have ended up with new sb stuff

Interesting. The stuff in the $1 bin is cool, but it's not the same type of stuff, know what I mean? What was weird is that there was a bunch of stuff still there that was not marked down, like the Jolees and SOME paper. Lots of scrapbooks themselves were on sale, too. I am in the Chicago suburbs, and I don't know if we have any of those SuperTargets. I know we have Target Greatland or something like that. They've got to put something in that space, I just hope that it's scrapbooking stuff.... or better yet MORE STAMPS! I can dream.....

Last week they were marking down the scrapbooking aisle, but the girls weren't done putting the price stickers on, so I didn't stick around to wait. What kind of deals are there in that clearance?
Was just at our's and it looks bad also, but I have never been happy with our Target Scrapbooking supplies. I read about all of you getting bargains there and we NEVER have any bargains. I skipped the dollar area so will have to check that out the next time I go.
I have never been too impressed with what the Target near me has for scrapbooking. Who knows, maybe they will get something new there. Sure would be nice (well, maybe - I mean do I really need another source to buy from???)
I've never been overly impressed with Target's SB selection either but then again, I don't view Target as a place for crafty stuff KWIM? It will be cool if they start expanding that but I can't see them competing with Wal-Mart on the level they are at for crafts even though I like Target *so* much better.

Same at my target. All that stuff is on clearence. That is not good. Hopefully it is for an upgrade. Thank god there is a michaels right next door from target.
It is nearly impossible to get customer service at target
Ours had all of the stickers on clearance. And most were GONE. But, the other side of the isle, had all kinds of scrapbooking and paper crafting tools, more than every before (Making Memory Tag Maker, etc...), major company names, and none of that was on sale. My thought was maybe it is actually an upgrade??
Ours was bare minimums today, and nothing in the dollar area, but I did scarf up some excellent bargains. I got 2 of the Making Memories Decor Clocks that you scrapbook for only 4.98 each!!! And a Kolette Hall kit for 4.88.
Our dollar spot has gone way downhill. I couldn't find a thing to put in a goodie bag, or smallish giftie if I tried.
All weird and ugly things. Maybe ours is due to restock or something....

Oh yeah! We will be getting a Super Taget just down the road in the next year. I hope they still carry all of the scrapbook things you mentioned when they open.
When it was just Target they never had anything good. Then they opened the super target. Me and dh went to go look to see how much better it was and when I "accidentally" passed the sb'ing aisle I about died when I saw all the prima stuff. Someone on another website who works for Prima said all the Targets (not sure if just Super Targets or not) are going to start carrying Prima stuff. Yay!
P.S. on my blog I have a picture of the cute Prima milkcrate I got there.
