I always wanted to get Feathered Hope and (I think it's called) Sweet Herbs. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Too much little details to color! I just really liked the verses that were with them... I'm a sucker for a good verse!
Now that my little boy loves anything John Deere, I really wish I had that tractor set. My husband is a train engineer, so of course, I have any stamp with a train on it!
What's even more funny is that I got Lace Snowflakes and have absolutely no intention of using them anytime soon!
My biggest regret is not discovering Splitcoaststampers earlier. I have bought at least $1000 of stamps that I will never use. My tastes have completely changed, if I had come on here first before I spent all this money I could have decided on styles and stamps I liked and looked out for similar versions by other companies, rather than impulse buying!
I wish I had bought Bow Wow and Meow Meow. I had just been introduced to stampin up as they were about to be retired and I thought I shouldn't be spending that much (Ha!) . I was sorry I did not get them within a month or so. When I can find them for sale they are usually at least 2x the original cost and I can't see paying that much.
It has also affected my buying habits since then. Now I tend to make sure I go over the retiring list multiple times and tend to splurge a bit if I find a number I really like are on the list. ;)
I regret not buying Wonderful Wings. I thought when they retired it they would bring in a really good new butterfly set, but they didn't. So, now I wish I had bought it.

My regret is not getting into SU sooner, and once I had found it, I wish I had STOPPED buying other stamps (mostly Hero Arts). I'm a demo, so I never use my Hero Arts stamps. Of course I *can* use them for my own personal stamping, but I just don't. SU makes stamping SO easy by having stamps in sets. And then SCS gives you all these awesome ideas....
I also think that I probably wouldn't have become a demo if I hadn't found SCS. After realizing what all I could do with the sets that I already had, and how many more stamp sets I *needed*, becoming a demo was the obvious next step. I could probably go to Ebay and sell my Hero Arts stamps (HA is my 2nd favorite stamp company) if I wanted to, but for now I'm just hanging onto them.
So I regret spending money on stamps that are just sitting unused! As for retired sets, I'm glad I bought Wonderful Wings (knowing they would probably retire) and Filigree. I didn't even like Balmy Breezes and Fresh Fruits til I saw what the SCS gals could do with them. When they made the big catty, I ordered them and am thrilled to have them.
I regret buying the Hero Arts ribbon set. I let a thread here where everyone was raving about it make me buy it and I have never used it once. I have no idea what to do with it. Oh well, it is a good dust collector.
You can still get Fresh Fruits if you want it. It's on page 139
OH. MY. GOSH. I am such a dope!! I completely missed it in the catalog. Thanks for letting me know ... now I can pine after it for another year, putting off buying it to spend my money on the minis and then they will discontinue it and I will regret it all over again LOL! Do we see a pattern here???
Can anyone say Lace Snowflakes????

yup, that's what I thought about lace snowflakes. It was a crap shoot -- buy that one or wait and see if some fantastic new set appeared in the new catalog. hmmmph.

Ahh, yes. I remember there were some great samples in the DD gallery. Maybe you should try to CASE a few and get inspired!
I regret buying Simple Wishes. It was one of those, my friend bought stuff at my party so I "should" buy something from her party deals. Well I thought I would use the phrases all the time (NOT) I think I have used it twice!
I regret NOT buying Snow Angels, any of the Hedgehog sets, Halloween Smiles, Costume Bears, and a few others.

I have that set also!! I made a few cards, but like you I don't know what to do with it!! Does anybody? All my other stamps are Stampin Up!
I regret buying Simple Florals. My demo showed us a technique using them and now I can't use them any othe way and I really just don't suse them enough. I really don't care for the stipple look and bought this set thinking it would change my mind about stipple. Nope. Didn't happen. I can't think of anything that I regret not buying. Maybe at the time it retired I did, but I haven't missed anything.

Ditto on the Lace Snowflakes, and I still wonder if I "needed" A Beautiful Season?! Everytime I see that snowman, I think I should have got that set.
I too still wonder about A Beautiful Season not for the snowman, but the rest of the set. Isn't that funny? Any other regrets??? Not finding SU earlier or maybe just a great demo so the whole stamping thing made sense.

I wish I hadn't gotten Something Nice when I signed up--I never made anything I liked with it.
I really wish I had gotten Girl Power. I've said it before, but I love the style, the choice of stamps, everything. I also wish SU would come out with another good Girl Scout set to replace it.
My biggest regret was not getting Summer by the Sea at HALF PRICE!!! At the time I thought, nah, I won't really use that! (What was I thinkin'???) This of course was during my Pre-SCS life (which I can scarcely remember now!) and I hadn't seen all the amazing ideas with this set.
So now I have to buy it and pay full price, darn it!!!
My regrets are also not finding SCS sooner. Someone just recently told me about it, and I have been exploring all of the wonderful organizational ideas. I did make myself a list in alphabetical order, which I keep on my memory stick. I can look at it at work, or at home. I can check to see if I have a set if I see an idea on SCS or on ebay. It is easy just to insert the new ones in alpha order, and print myself an updated copy of my inventory.
However, it never occured to me to take a picture of the labels before I mounted the stamps. So, I now need to start a binder as so many of you have done. That will take a while! I think I am leaning toward one set per page so I can move them around if I change my idea on how to organize. I don't want to have any more regrets.
I also regret not knowing the secrets to mounting them when I first got started. I didn't know to cut closely, so I have to be careful not to get edges. I also know now that there are secrets to mounting alphabets like putting them on the edge, not the bottom. Oh well. Live and learn.
I regret not buying the graduation wheel.
