I have the hardest time trying to decide what i want to work on. I spend so much time trying to make a very easy decision...that it then becomes complicated...
just wondering what you guys do? the method to your madness???
When we moved into our new house I finally got a craft room (yippee!!!) And I set it up so all my stamp sets and pads are right by where I sit so I have easy access. That helps me a lot because I do change my mind or want to add or change as I begin creating!
At our old place I would drag everything out to the dining room and what a pain!!!
But, I am positive that I do not have the stamp collection many of you have so that may make a difference as well. I would at least have some of your most used stamps always on hand.
I usually try to work on one project at a time. I'm fortunate in that I have all my supplies in front of me, so when I decide what I want to do I just cut up some card stock and begin. The exception is when I scrapbook, it takes me a while to design a page (sometimes days) and I change my mind as the page evolves.
My area is a spare bedroom. (Wish I had a craft corner).
I usually have six projects on the go piled on the bed, and as I
keep looking at them, I get new ideas. When everything is put
away, I seem to be uninspired. I need MESSY!!

I have a craft closet, so everything is in one place but not that easy to pull it all out. I usually have a specific project in mind and will pull out what I need to work on it--plus a few extras if I'm trying to decide on colors or between a couple of stamp sets.
As soon as the kids get a little older, though, I'm taking over the playroom and will finally have the craft room I've always wanted!
I purchased a few great organizers on ebay for my, pads, pens, and other stamping items. I have my Stamp pads right in front of me with all the colors facing forward so they are easy to see. It's Write markers to the right and Chalks, Blender pens, pencils and so forth to the left. I keep my cardstock and such in these great organizers I found at exposures. My Stamp room is real organized, and I find I keep it that way by working on one project at a time.
I made a book of all my stamp sets. I stamped each image on a sheet of paper and put them in a binder. When I start a project, I browse through my book and find the stamp set or sets I want to work with. If I need a butterfly or swirl or whatever, I flip through and see all my options. This has helped keep me a little more organized, because my stamp sets are in drawers and not easily scanned.
I start with a few sets out and slowly add to it as I get more and more ideas. Then when the table gets too cluttered I put all of them away and start over again. This happens about once a week, lol!
I try to start with one set in mind ... then, I think about something that would add the PERFECT touch to it. I end up getting several sets out. I am fortunate because I have a stamp room (call it my Haven!), and I have things right where I want them Makes me more motivated to clean up, too!!! LOL!
O.k., I admit it. I am a creative tornado when I stamp. Yes I have my stuff all organized in a spare bedroom but I have to S-P-R-E-A-D out. I may start small, bringing out a few things to the kitchen table, but before ya know it, every one of my 100+ sets are on the table and ink, paper, tools etc are out too. :o That's what gets me going though. I get really inspired by the scaps and bits that clutter the area! One thing will lead to two more. When I'm done, I have beatiful creations and an archeological dig to plow through! Each creation is done on top of the other so one could always retrace my stampin path! It may take me a while to 'dig out', but its still a blast!
I start with 1 or 2 sets that I have ideas for. I try to finish those before I start something else...but then I decide to add a phrase or something and before I know it I have like 10msets out!  I do put them away again before I start something else...but then it just happens again. Not much help am I?

Depending on how quiet the house is (how asleep everyone is!) I sometimes work on three cards / ideas at once.
If things are not flowing/creative things not working/moon not in proper phase (OK, I'm joking!!) I put creative stuff on hold & case something  .
