Anyone know where to find brown organdy ribbon that coordinates with SU's Chocolate Chip color? I have searched Michaels and JoAnn to no avail. I prefer 3/8, but I'd take up to 7/8 width if necessary. I don't scrap so I haven't looked at scrapbook stores. Do they sell ribbon?
Just went there. Great resource...thanks! They are sadly "on vacation" until the end of the week. I'm at a stopping point making cards for a swap, and am in need of quick organdy. Had I known it would be so difficult to find, I would have searched for it first before making the card. Can't use another color. It just doesn't work. (Besides, the other color is So Saffron, and that's equally as difficult to find!)

Can you tried to dye SU's white/cream organdy ribbon with your chocolate chip classic ink pad? All you need to do is run the length over the pad a couple of times to get the color on (I usually hold a sponge against the ribbon to the pad to avoid inky fingers). Try it with a small scrap to see if you like the results! You do need to let the ribbon dry a little before handling (again, to avoid the inky fingers).
I've only tried this once with a lighter color ink, and liked the results. Good luck!
Thanks for all the info. For those of you who suggested dying light organdy ribbon, it looks beautiful! I was so impressed with out it turned out. However, maybe I didn't let it dry for long enough. The ink just came off all over the stamped image and now it's ruined. How long do you have to let it dry?

You should run it through a paper towel several times to remove all of the excess, and then it will have to dry for quite a while. I tried carefully heat-setting, and it still had to sit for a long time -- at least a few hours. Organdy ribbon seems to behave similarly to vellum and other slick papers when it comes to applying ink.

I've never been able to get ribbon to both look good and dry when I dye it. :-(I'm sure it's just operator error. LOL Could you make grosgrain work? I've bought chocolate grosgrain at Walmart in the past.
I just bought that color on a website someone on here said was having a sale. it was like 1.25 per roll. It was www.codwholesale.com I couldn't believe it was so cheap!
