I did not sign up in January but I did in February, still in time for Sellabration. I sure wish I would have signed up in January!! As it is I earned 6 free sellabration sets.
If I can find the money to buy the kit, I'm in!! Gonna have to do some creative budgeting or ask for $$ as a gift from our folks!

yup... me... me... me... can't wait!! Love that we get a FREE SAB and a FREE set of our choice!!! So awesomeeeeeeeeeeee
I didn't go online last night because I had to work on the Scrapbook for sister in law cause her party is SATURDAY!!!! Almost done with it though now!!
I am signing up in Jan. My husband and I decided I need to wait until after the first of the year for this. Of course when you have 5 kids ( all grown Thank God ) and their spouses, plus 9 grandkids all your money at the end of the year goes to Christmas. That doesn't enclude my brothers and their families plus my husband is one of 8 . Do the numbers you can see why I am waiting until after the first of the year.
now that I have said all that , it just makes sense to wait because of the perks that go along with it at that time of year. Think of having an open house or a Getting Started gathering with it being the time of the year for SAB. What a great time of the year to start out.
Just my two cents worth

So far that is 14 counting Skunky. I think he could be very profitable in his community.
Skeller-It is a hard time to spend that much $. We also have a large family to buy for. My future upline said it was the best time and my DH said "then it is so!"
Edit: We were typing at the same time  that makes 15!

I'm seriously thinking about it. I still have some doubts about myself selling things and the numbers in my circle of friends (see my other post about this from today). If I can't make it work, I'm sure I could unload some of the business supplies and keep the stamps!
I was going to wait until January - but I've already got 5 workshops lined up for Q1. I'm signing up in Dec so I can be all set for SAB. Too excited - Just couldn't wait!
Count me in...I've thought about it long and hard and finally decided to take the plunge! Karen, I'm with you--nervous about finding contacts among my circle of acquaintances and a little surprised at the idea of myself selling something! I'm an adjunct professor by trade...but as my husband says, "you sure love stamping a lot more than grading essays, so why not?"
I am a die-hard SU fan, though...I've bought so many of their products as a customer because I truly believe in their quality. Also, I have found stamping to be so enjoyable, opening up a creative side I didn't know I had, so I want to share that with other people! I'm hoping these things will outweigh my reservations about sales.
I am excited too but want to wait till January to get the 2 extra sets with my starter kit. I figure the I am going to pick Sketch It for my free any set, and with the free SAB set would be getting about $45 free
I really, really want to and have been thinking about it for awhile but I'm really afraid that I'll end up spending way more money as a demo because I can better "justify" it then. I'll only be a hobby demo but I can just see it getting out of hand real fast! I just don't know what to do!!!!!

I am going to sign up too! I am a little nervous about building a customer base as I am not going to be able to meet my minimums myself. I guess I'll never know unless I try...
This will be fun! There will be lots of Newbies on the Demo Only forum come January. LOL!

I was told you get an SAB set and a free set (unlimted amount) plus your upline gets a free set. Plus you get a great kit at a great price.
.............It depends on what your demo is offering. This (great!!!) company is offering new demonstrators a free stamp set of their choice with the starter kit and you can earn SAB sets (and FREE sets woohoo!!) as a demo. It's a great time to join!!

I am signing up in January also - Have my paperwork and stuff all filled out and my stamp set already picked out that you get for free. hehe
I said I would never sell anything that I didn't believe in but I love everything about SU products so thought I would be a natural at it. Not to mention where I work has like 1500 people so was hoping some of them are stampers :-)
I signed up just recently and just received my pass word and ID. I probably won't do anything until January. I was also told I have 45 day to take advantage of free shipping, Etc.
I have all my paperwork filled out and ready to send in. Now, after reading this I am wondering if I should wait until January.
My main concern is about how much will change in the new year. I was looking at the 2003 catalog and was surprised at just how many stamp sets they retired. Do they also change a lot of their color families each year too? I hate to start off with "old" stuff, KWIM?
About sets retiring...I think the best bet is to talk to your potential upline about what sets to choose for the starter kit. Mine told me which ones were consistent sellers for her, and which ones had been around long enough that they _might_ retire, etc. Of course there are no guarantees, but I bet the ones the company suggests for the kit are not about to retire, and there are probably other relatively new ones or perennial favorites that are a safe bet too! Jan. seems a good time to sign up b/c of the extra free set incentive...
