I am not a member. I'm a single mom with 1 in college and 3 at home. But I tell myself that the ideas I get off SCS are probably all I can emulate anyway <tee hee hee>.
This people on this site are so wonderful! I have never seen so many people spreading the Christmas spirit in such a wonderful and giving way. I'm just sitting here in total amazement. I'm new to stamping and the all of this and I'm not a member, yet. Hopefully sometime in January I will be able to view the DD gallery. I just had to say---thank you for reminding me that giving and even watching the recipients receive the gifts is the most awesome things to witness.
May you have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year
I was so excited to receive a PM saying that I received a gift !!!
This is so wonderful and I can't wait to spend the next few hours enjoying my gift (I'm so glad the office is closed today) !!!
I promise that next year, I'll make sure that I'm able to make someone as happy for Christmas with a subscription as you've done for me !!!
If SCS keeps this subscription gifting option as a year round thing, then I can do it even sooner !!! I think this is also an awesome gift to give a new recruit (I'm working on getting one and would like to give her a subscription to the DD if she joins SU!) !!!
I'm not a member either :( Even though DH hasn't had steady work for over 3 years, he nearly always says "yes" to anything I ask for.... but this is one thing for which I haven't asked since I know he's majorly stressed over keeping our kids fed (2 teenage boys sure can eat alot!!!) and bills paid.
Blessings to those of you who are giving "gift subscriptions" - we all love you for it
Hi,
I am not a member yet either but it is mostly because I have joined stuff like this before and haven't been overly thrilled with what I got. I am sure the DD gallery is worth every penny but maybe if there was some sort of trial period so you could get an idea of what is there before you spent the money? I just have to be very careful about the money I spend and I really want to get good value.
I think it is great that everyone is jumping on this!
Happy Holidays everybody.
Merry Christmas to All-What an inspiration you are!!!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All!! I am so inspired by all the wonderfully generous and kind stampers on this website. Like so many other stampers this season, a membership just isn't in the budget right now, but it is something to hope and look forward to!! To all my fellow elementary teachers out there, isn't this a great story to share with your students about people helping people? I teach 3rd grade and I'm always trying to find "real" examples to demonstrate to my class that there are many, many, people that care for others and help, even when they don't personally know them. Please know that my family, my class, and I will keep all those in need in our prayers.
Blessings!

Katie,
The $20 isn't really for access to the DD Gallery, it is to support the site. Access to the gallery (which is really amazing, by the way) is a "thank you" for helping to keep this site free, and without annoying pop-ups and ginormous banner ads. It is kind of like donating to a PBS station during their telethon when you get a thank you gift. You don't donate for the gift, but sometimes they can be really nice, like the Dirty Dozen gallery is.
As I have said in a previous post, the costs of running this site are ENORMOUS, and nobody is pocketing the $20, it is going to subsidize the costs of running the place.
I very much understand that you need to be careful with your money, heck, I don't know many people that can afford to throw cash around, but I feel like this site needs the contributions, and I personally enjoy the site and use it all the time and felt like a little sacrifice on my part was small in comparison for what I get in return.
Just a few thoughts! You do what you feel comfortable doing, no more preachin'!

I'm not a member either. I just am figuring out the site and realized that this gallery was here. I just love the other gallery! It's great to have some great ideas at your finger tips. Thanks to all who share!
Merry Christmas!!

Ok, if someone really wants to have some fun you could donate one to my DH, JaysDH. We don't have a membership in this house and I know he would completely fall on the floor if someone did that for him PLUS you'd probably get about a hundred RAK's from him, too!!! Just a thought!
I havent joined yet :( I'm signing up to be a demo in Jan so with the cost of the kit plus the many many things I want to order with my 30% off first order I'm really having to be careful about the money I spend. I HOPE to be able to join soooooon though so I can check out all the GREAT ideas that I'm sure are there!!!
Hi!
The DD sounds like a wonderful program. I'm not able to join at this time since I am out of work for a while. Just part of year round school. Maybe in the future. This site is so wonderful and I appreciate all that is shared. Thank You all very much
WOW! When I posted I didn't expect to get chosen for a gift membership but boy am I glad I was! Thank you so much to the kind heart that picked me. I appreciate it more than you will ever know!!!

Ah sheesh, I guess I'll admit to not being a member (although I know Darth will have my butt in a sling!! LOL! ). Sounds like it's a "can't miss" though!
I'm not a member yet either :( ...my husband has been out of work since THANKSGIVING AND IM LUCKY I COULD SWING CHRISTMAS FOR MY 3 CHILDREN.We just moved here (Colorado) in August, and I havent had time to start up my SU business here because I have been in Florida with my father who was sent home on hospice to die.Once everything comes together I will pay for the membership.
I'm not a member yet either. I lost my job Dec. 8th, but did get an offer this week. It's for a little less money, but I think I'll take it anyway. Maybe when things pick up, or after Sell-A-Bration, I can swing it.
I'm already on the poo-list for spending too much on my kids for Christmas and on stamps... DH would have a kitten-fit if I spent more on my stamping obsession. :( Maybe I can sneak it in later... hmmm.
Well, I DO have a membership. I just wanted to say congratulations to all you lucky gals getting such wonderful gifts, and especially want to give kudos to those of you making them possible. You are THE best!
Please, someone fill me in on this Dirty Dozen thing! I'm hearing an awful lot about it, but I don't know what it is. I think I must be missing out on something really great!
I have a question about the DD .... is the $20 donation a yearly thing or a one time thing? I'm hopeing to have the extra $$ to be able to join sometime early next year :P (crossing fingers) and wondered about that
With DH in Iraq, I would've thought I'd have more time at home to do NOTHING!!!!
We all think that, especially when losing so much sleep. While DH was in Afghanistan, all I did was clean, clean, clean. Of course, I was pregnant and was nesting.
I am not a member yet as things keep hindering my progress to that point. I am hoping to join sometime in the New Year. I hope soon. When I do I will be gifting someone else as I am a giving person. Happy holidays to all.
Lynette

I'm not a member either. Being a disabled senior on a fixed income does not allow for extra goodies such as this. I look through the free gallery and get alot of inspiration from there. I thank the Lord above that I have access to a free site such as this.

It would be nice to be a member of this club, but as with other obligations to our limited funds, I am unable to make the very minor contribution at this time.
My husband and I made the decision for me to quit my part-time job last May so that I could be home with my daughter during the summer months when she was off from school. We know this is the best for her and I have therefore not gone back to work even part-time during the school year so that I can volunteer in her class and help out whenever needed at our church, too. This has put us on a very limited budget, but I wouldn't change my situation for anything. Being "mom" and "wife" to my daughter and husband comes first.
I know many others are also in this situation, but I am so thankful that Splitcoaststampers is free to all! Thank you all for being such wonderful people and giving me inspiration daily.
I keep hearing about all the wonderful stuff in the DD gallery, but my kids Christmas comes first before I put any more money into anything related to stamping. I want my kids to have a good christmas. Also our van is ready to die and that is my only means of transportation, so it may have to be held off for longer still.
I hope we can excess all items no matter how old they are, because who knows how long it will be before I can become a member.
Merry Christmas everyone!!

I am not a member yet either. Waiting to find out if DH is going to be layed off in afew weeks. So I am trying to save some money in case it does happen. If he doesn't get laid off then I am hoping to join sometime in the new year.
