Default Why am I hoarding Stampin Up' Classic Pads & Refills?

Can someone tell me why I am hoarding these products? Am I forgetting what to use them for? I do use some of the greens for a grass stamp I have, besides that I don't know why I feel it necessary to buy them or keep all 61 refills. I do have maybe 30 stamp sets but haven't gotten these out in a long time.

Now, I do love the papers, and use them on my projects. I have matched them up with my Copics, so I like to keep these stocked.

I do digital images, and I do stamp my images with black Memento ink.

What am I missing???

Thanks, Sheila

They're wonderful for water coloring.

Just like many other "toys" I have to remember to get them out and play with them occasionally. I also found myself using black only for stamped images until I poke myself to get out those ink pads and get creative. As the previous poster mentioned they are great for watercoloring. I also love them for making background papers, using a darker ink on a lighter paper. Browns for animals and flowers sometimes make the images seem less harsh than black ink. The best advice I have is to just get them out and play ;)

Try some fun techniques with them
Ink Pads: burned batik, crayon resist, direct to paper, distressed glue, embossing resist, emerging color, faux silk, faux torn edge, foxy Oxi, gesso resist, ghosting,
Refill Inks: polished stone, shaving cream, rolling marble background, acetate and tissue, acrylic resist, baby wipe, faux barnboard, frosted filter

just to name a few!!!!

Sheila
A couple of drops of reinker in water works great for coloring ribbon or paper flowers or tissue paper flowers or whatever else you feel like dying I guess!
