I know they want customers to buy the catalog and I always will. I must have it on hand at all times. I also know they want you to go through a demo for purchases. I just think it would be nice if you could view their stamp sets & accessories on-line.

I don't know the answer, but I'm wondering if it has something to do with copyright stuff? I think one of the reasons they made the images grey in this year's catalog was because people might be trying to lift the designs for unauthorized use. Just my thoughts - I'll be interested in reading other responses!
It's because they want you to contact a demo. There are some pictures online, but for the most part, they limit what is out there. There are pictures in magazines of some of what's out there. Because they back us as demos, they won't put the catalog on line.
Same with Partylite ~ most likely for continued support of demos.
They give you a taste of the products through the basic .com site as SU does.
I like the part about supporting my local Demonstrator, but it would be nice to SEE the catalogue online (for those times when I'm caught without mine/lent it to a friend & need a fix!! )

Just a thought - when someone books a workshop - that is one of our gifts to the hostess for booking. If it was online - what value would it be as a hostess gift?
I love the catalog! I just think it would be nice to be able to show others like those who live too far (like my MIL or mother) but might want to place an order at a party. To have it on hand is worth much more than going on line to look it up. I really appreciate mine from my demo (hopefully soon to be upline if I ever make up my mind  ). I truly think if someone saw it online they would want it in hand just that much more.

I had that thought myself...sometimes I am at work (and don't have my trusty catty with me), and would like to just look at the stamp sets online....I'm sure there could be a way to post the sets without risking any type of copyright thing.....and they wouldn't need to post the ideas that go with them...and if you want ANY of it, you still need to go through a demo anyway!! Once people see the catalogue in person, they will know why they need one!!!!
I agree. I will always buy a catalog so that I can tag everything that I want but I would love to look at it at work-online. Sometimes after seeing some of the beautiful cards made on SCS with sets that I don't have, I want to order the set immediately. However, I want to see the entire set, see how much it cost, compare it to another set I may want, etc. If the catalog was online, I would find out that information and just email my demo the order. Some TAC demos have the catalog on their websites. It would just be nice.
Just an FYI, at convention, SU mentioned that they were presented with the idea to print the stamp sets in gray so that the sample cards and scrapbook pages would stand out more. They loved the idea and the look so they went with it. I know that I notice them more now.
Just my thought, but I think the reason it's not on-line is because of the volume of stuff in the catalog. I know when I'm looking at past copies of the Stampin' Success magazine on-line it seems to take a while to go through it page by page and that doesn't have near as many pages as the catty. Oh well, just my two cents..
