Hi,
I am placing my last order with my demo in June, for current catty stuff. I was wondering how many of you have stocked up on past in-colors and then never used them again? Or perhaps used them very infrequently, which does not justify stocking up.
I am a big fan of these particular in-colors, but if history repeats itself, I will be looking at what happened when I stocked up on Cool Caribbean. I think I have 2 full packs. I still love the color, but for some reason, have yet to make a card with it since the new in-colors came along.
I have 1 full package of each in-color I currently love. I am not planning on buying anymore. I hope I do not regret this decision.
It's not the money. Cardstock is not that expensive. For me, it is an issue of space. And I will eventually not have room to keep mountains of cardstock in my tiny house. I cannot imagine where all this paper is going to go in 10 years. I don't do swaps and make only 1 or 2 cards a week. (none right now...lost mojo  ).
Probably not. I have 3 packs of CC that I "stocked up on" from last year and they are still sitting in my file cabinet. I might buy an extra pack of Wasabi (already have one of Soft Sky) but that's likely it.
I will probably get a pack of my four favorites of the current in colors. I don't know if I'll like the new colors as much, I think I read on here that they were brighter.
I know what you mean when you look at new in-colors and say you don't like them. I said that about Groovy Guava. After seeing hundreds and hundreds of cards made with this color, I decided (?) I did like it after all. So I bought a pack. Now I LOVE it. The new in-colors are bright, but I am gravitating towards bright these days. So I know I will be buying these.
Sometimes I wish SU! did not have in-colors, other times I am happy they do! I am really wishy-washy over the whole issue.
Last year I stocked on the one In-Colors card stock and reinkers thinking I love these colors - nothing could replace them. Then the new In-Colors came out and I fell in love with them - forgetting about the last years In-Colors. Now I have a ton of paper and ink from the first batch of In-Colors I don't use.
I love the colors this year and used them often - but I don't think I will stock up on them again. I will make sure I have one pack of each and a reinker for each. That way I have enough to do a project or group of cards but not so much of a supply that I don't know what to do with it.
I am quite confident that when I see the new In-Colors that I will fall in love with them too.
Stampin' Up! has a way to find just the right new colors each year.

I really loved the colors this last time. I bought one of each in the beginning but will be ordering more. I seem to really gravitate to them when I'm stuck for an idea.
Can anyone tell me when the new catty is comimg out? I've heard conflicting dates. Thanks all
I am definitely going to be stocking up on the current colors. I love the Purely Pomegranate--I'm making my Christmas cards with it. The wild wasabi and blue bayou are also on my favorite list. I have some extra packs of soft sky and groovy guava also. After I saw the new colors coming up, I bought more of what is in now.

I heard July. What has everyone else been saying?

I plan to get more wild wasabi cardstock and some more stitched wild wasabi and soft sky ribbon. I really like the wild wasabi green. From the photo I've seen, I don't know how much I will love the new colors, but I'll have to wait and see.
JM2C...... I think I'll get some of the ribbon and the ink, but not the paper. I still have a lot of cool caribean. Than I LOVE, but still, you gotta draw the line somewhere... Not to sure about the new in color though. I have only seen pictures, and I'm a hands on girl!! ;)
I plan on stocking up a bit on these colors because even the next round of colors are not me. (I think they will be nice, but I just don't see my self getting into them like I did this year. And I love the ribbon!
I bought one package of five of the in colors, and four colors for the ribbon. That's going to be it. I really stocked up on Cool Carribbean last year, and I still use it. (I'm not a demo, so I can use what I like)
From what I've seen, I'm not impressed with the new in-colors either, but I'll probably do what I usually do, which is order an assorted package of cardstock when the new catty comes out, and decide from there. I need a good visual before I decide I don't like something. And you never know, I didn't think I liked guava either, until I put it with some of the other 48 colors.
In fact, this is something I wish SU would do more in their catalogs, is put the in-colors with their regular colors. It seemed to me like they were quite often pairing the in-colors with eachother. I don't see a lot of variety in their color schemes sometimes.

I think the reason we forget about last year's in colors is because everyone is posting the NEW ones! I, too, didn't like the new colors until I saw so many posts using them, especially with the dp. I did not even buy last year's because I don't like the whole idea of it, but now I wish I HAD because I still keep finding a lot of cards using CC that I LOVE and want to case, and there is NOTHING else like that color on the marker. I've tried to find it, believe me  Actually, I did have a bit of paper that was the right color but it was a scrap so I'm not sure where I got it, waaah.
So, for me it's a matter of whether there is an acceptable sub. For River Rock, I'm getting the ink but using Bazzill (Witch Hazel) for paper so I will only get one pack of paper.
Hope that makes sense!

I will be stocking up on the Wild Wasabi - it's one of my favorite in-colors. I bought pomegranate, but I am not really that crazy about it. Now the cool caribbean, that is my all-time favorite.....I love that color - I have a couple of packs put back. baahaaa I have seen a glimpse of the new in-colors, but I'm not too sure about them yet.
i love Purely Pomegranate so i got 2 packs but i forgott to get the reinkers and the ribbons !!! so i may need to put a litle order soon before they go
Yes. I plan on buying a pack of each color card stock. I have re-inkers and ribbon. I saw the new and upcoming colors and don't really like them so far. I guess I'll have to see them IRL. But I can't live without Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky and River Rock. I use them all of the time.
I do have extras from the first set of in-colors and I use them sparingly. My neice knows they are off limits because I can't replace them. I go in cycles with colors that I use, so I know I'll go back to them eventually.
I stocked up on CC from last year and have rarely used it this year. I purchased ink pads, CS and re-inkers of three In colors this year. I also have 2 packs of the assorted CS. I plan on getting one more pack of the three In Colors I have. and that will probably be it. The only color I might think about buying more CS for is Wild Wasabi - if only for Xmas cards.
I will get a few packs of Soft Sky, because I use it a TON. I still use my Caribbean cardstock and reinker, so I'm glad I got them. I'll also probably get a reinker or two, but only Soft Sky. I have enough of the others, and I don't use them as much.
I plan on getting the all reinkers, one pack of each colour and the texture pack. I love every one of these colours so I want to make sure I have some of each.
Yes, I will. I waited until I could see my demos pack of cardstock to decide which ones I really liked. I only bought one in-colour this year. However, I LOVE it and have used it so much, particularly with a couple of regular colours I seldom use. So, I will stock up with several packs of that colour before it goes out. I already have a reinker and 1 full roll of ribbon.

I probably will, not because I really use a ton of it, but because I seem to have this problem.....hoarding all things SU! that are retired. lol I do actually use the Groovy Guava and the Wasabi paper quite a bit. So I will use - I'll just have a stash that will last me 3 or 4 years!!!

I'm definately buying this year's "in colors". I've gotten the reinkers, now I need the cardstock. I'm kicking myself for not getting any of the cardstock or reinkers from 2007's "in colors". I wasn't stamping much back then and now I've been using the Buckaroo Blue & Cranberry Crisp quite a bit! I check the buy/sell/trade forum, but if someone's got them, they're usually gone by the time I get to the post. I HAVE been watching eBay, but the stuff's going so high! Ya snooze... ya lose! Not taking a chance with this year's colors! Not sure if I'm going to get ALL the colors of cardstock... still deciding!
P.S. If anyone's got 2007 "in color" stuff they want to get rid of... lemme know!
I've already gone thru 3 bayous and 2 sky, 2 wasabi and I'm not a demo. I knew as soon as I saw these colors that I liked them, so yes I'm stocking up. I do not like the new ones.
I will really miss soft sky and river rock, so I plan to get at least one more package of each. There are just no other substitutes for these two.

I was not that found of last years in colors, I have the reinkers and made my own spots, have a couple of sheets of paper. this year I have a package of each color paper and the reinkers for spots.
I don't think I would buy any more, there are too many new papers and colors coming out eveyday and I want them all, so, I need to leave some room!

I love these colors and the new ones. I go through cardstock like mad, too.
So, I will no doubt stock way up on the in color paper.
Stampin Up should at least put retired in color 8.5 x 11 cardstock on the dormant list after the pads, ribbon, reinker, etc. retire. That would be so nice, even if it was just for the following year. It would also make investing in the ink pads a smarter idea.
I learned my lesson from last year. I stocked up on 3 of the colors and have used just cool caribbean a few times. So, I won't be stocking up on this year's In-colors.

Me too! And when SU retired colors like Forest Foliage and that pink color from Bold Brights (what is the name of it???) I bought a bunch and still haven't cracked open the packages. I like Wild Wasabi and Pure Pomegranate but I have full packs of each plus opened packs. I think I'll manage to live with what I have.
There will always be something else to buy....

I already stocked up with packs of my favorites of the in colors...I really loved them this last time around. And although I'm tempted to pick up more ribbon and reinkers, I'm beginning to learn that there's always *something* around the bend that I'll like just as much. Not so sure it's the new in colors this time though!! So far, they don't do much for me.
I do wish that they'd replace Garden Green with Wild Wasabi!! WW is a terrific shade of green. I bet I'll end up liking a couple of the new ones... only time will tell ;)
