Question winter mini-big pieces

I'm new to the forums although not new to splitcoast. You guys are awesome! You should see the list of favs I've bookmarked!

I've searched forums and read old threads about the winter mini and all the stuff everyone wants to buy. I'm curious as to why not too many stampers have listed Big Pieces as a must have. I am placing an order this weekend w/my neice's party and I'm trying to decide what to buy. I'd love to know everyone's opinion on this set. BTW, I'm also thinking of getting Little Pieces. I must have a thing for circles!

Thanks for your time!

I have big pieces and I love them. I have the little ones too. There have been some awesome cards on SCS with this set and that is what motivated me to buy them. They are alot of fun.

I like Big Pieces- it's cute. Although, since my budget this month is only going to allow me to buy one set from the winter mini, it's going to have to be "Like It a Latte", because I LOVE coffee stamps and I LOVE making cards with coffee on it.

Big Pieces was a must have for me. I already had Little Pieces, so it was pretty much a no-brainer for me to also get Big Pieces! LOL! I absolutely love this set and would highly recommend it.

I havent used it yet, but I have Big Pieces. I cant wait to make some cards using it, together with Little Pieces! I'm thinking that maybe its just a bit too pricey for some people. At first I wasnt going to get it because of the price (I'm in Canada and here it goes for $39.95), but I ended up winning it on ebay for a little less ... anyway, that's what I think ... but what do I know! LOL.

I broke down and ordered it. It is way overpriced and I did not want to encourage that kind of pricing, but when I was given 20% off the catalog price on it, I just gave in. I love the set so much that I could not hold to my principles!

Funny you say that, because I thought the same thing! And I usually do not feel that way about stamp sets. Still, I love it so much, I too, may break down and buy it. Sigh.

When I first saw the set, I wasn't impressed. I have little pieces, and thought the BIG pieces was a pricey set... but, it's on my next order. After seeing all the wonderful ideas in the gallery, it's a must have! Besides, I need a $50 order for SAB!

Big Pieces will arrive at my house on Monday. I was really happy to see it in the mini. It goes really well coordinating it with Little Pieces, which I already have. I justified the price by saying to myself that I was adding to my SAB total. LOL

I don't have it but it looks so cool!!! I don't think it's over priced if your gonna use it enough to get your money's worth. I'm just signing up to be a demo (finally) and I'm going to wait, if it comes out in the new catty in july then I'm definately gonna get it. I don't want too many sets that I can't demo, but I really like this set and have seen some amazing cards with it!!

I knew as soon as I saw the winter mini that I would be getting this set. I use Little Pieces all the time and I would like to use them together. I was rather surprised myself by the price but I figure it's going to be something I use A LOT so it's worth it. I'm just frustrated right now because I know I won't get my nice big order this week because of our cruddy weather.

I really like the set. And it goes with soooo many other stamp sets, especially some of my background stamps, wheels, and one of the tags for the tag punch has some cute circles it will work with.

Thanks for all the posts in response to my first question on the forums!

I did a search on this site for ideas using Big Pieces and didn't come up with any. Could someone post the links?

I think I'm going to order Big Pieces w/the the Little Pieces set for my SAB order. There's so much stuff I want on my entire wish list that I may end up coming up w/a minimum hostess order to get the rivets hostess set too! What is it w/me and circles today?!

Thanks again for all the input!

I think it is really cute set, but I can get such a similar look by using a lot of my other stamps and then just cutting it out with my circle punches. KWIM? Plus I have a lot of circle stamps that are circle lines so I could do same look with that as well. So having the choice between that set and other sets I would pick others.
