The measurements Stinkerbell has are the same I wrote down from convention. The directions in the link from barbk5 are exactly what was demonstrated just using different measurements. The tricky part is getting the pop up to work really well. Has anyone figured which envelope works with this card?

Well, I don't know if the directions that have been posted in this thread are for a "wiper card" or not, but I altered the dimensions to the directions posted here and now have a card that fits into our small open end envelopes.

The directions are the same basic directions but here are my dimension changes:

Cut two pieces 8 1/2" by 3 1/4" and one piece 3 1/2" by 3".

Score one end of each of the larger pieces at 1 5/8" and 2 3/4".

I know the other card as well, but that's more of a pop up card, right?

Ok - I'm confused. I've read through all the thread and love the wonderful directions that were posted for the pop-up card (I can't wait to give this a try) But the card that Beate describes here seems different from the pop-up. Is this one the "wiper" card? From this description it sounds like it would be. I would LOVE to know how to do this one. TIA

And here are the dimensions for it to fit the large open end envelope that we carry...

Cut two 11" by 4" strips and one 5 1/2" by 3 1/2" piece.
Score long strips on one end at 1 3/4" and then at 2 3/4".

Did anyone GET a picture of this 'wiper card' at convention.. as the original poster indicated? She said it was NOT the same as the card others are citing.. I'm curious too!

Hi Gals!

I just made my first wiper card based on my notes from Convention.

Base of card: 2 sheets cardstock 9 1/4 x 4 1/4 ; scored at 2" & 3"
Inside of card: 1 sheet cardstock 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 ; this will be scored at top left corner to jump in out like a windshield wiper.

I have pictures of the inside of the card, as I am visual and have a hard time getting all the instructions written out. BUT if you have ?s on how getting it together, please PM me.

Enjoy! These are pretty simple once you figure that middle piece measurement.

Sorry I haven't been able to get back with more info since my last entry. I have been out of town. This is a picture I found on SCS Forums at Splitcoaststampers through this thread. You can also search for wiper card and someone put 3 pictures of a card they did (Halloween). It may help you see the top to know what to do.
I made my card to fit SU! clear cello envelopes.
4 1/4" X 7 1/2" (2 pieces)
Score at 1 1/2" & 2 1/2"
Make your wiper piece 1" by what ever length you need.
Fold the scored pieces inward and then back over itself. (in toward the main part of the card and then back toward the outside)then lay flat
Slightly fold one end of the wiper piece to form an angle (bottom touches the side)
Adhere it to the front piece of the card between the scored lines. Angle to the top and the rest lying over the first scored line toward the outside.
I will try to put some pictures step by step, but I'm not very good at downloading to the computer.

I can’t believe I’ve been waiting all this time for this and it turns out to be a card I sketched and shared in May ’05. Below are links to my cards and instructions for a card that fits in a business size envelope:

*Kim Wilson added a link to download the sketch in the 2nd post in this thread!

This is always so fun! I've been wondering for DAYS about this, and come to find out it's a card we made last year sometime at an upline meeting! I remember being frustrated at the time because the inner pop up part was NOT cooperating with me!
