I made this paint can for my husband's gift exchange at work in hopes of getting some new business. Well it worked. I have a ton of people wanting to order some but I don't know what to charge. Here is what is inside:
Set of 4 coasters
set of 4 magnets
Post it note holder and pen
chocolates
Candle
What would you charge for the whole thing? ANd what would you charge for just the can?
In my area, I'd charge AT LEAST $30 for the whole thing, and that'd be a bargain! The coasters alone could sell for $10-15. For just the can, I'd say a minimum of $10. Let us know what you decide! It looks really cute!!
Well my husband took orders and here is how it went....
One full can for $30.00 (she orders a lot of cards from me so she got a better price)
4 just decorated cans with tissue paper for $10.00
3 Cans with matching candles $15.00
He had a lot of orders for just the coasters but I can only do so much. They are all needing these things by tomorrow and that just was not enough time to do a ton of coasters on top of all of the cans. So I have a busy night ahead of me. I better go get the kids ready to run to the store for supplies.
Thanks for all the suggestions and kind words.
By the way let me say..... my Paint Can was stolen more than any other gift there. Yea Me!!!
That is so awesome! Maybe you should have a coaster class for these folks? Or a Paint Can class. Sounds like you could definitely gain some customers!

That is just adorable! When your Christmas rush is over, you should make up some coasters and candles with another theme. Valentines day might be good for candles. Send them in early January so you have time to take lots of orders!
I just wanted to say congrats! That is such a boost to the creative spirit. I think $30 is reasonable, one you approach that $40 mark, people stop. I would agree with taking orders for next year and start making early.
Ok so I had one complete set, 3 with cans and candles, and 4 cans with just tissue paper to make.
After running around town in evening rush hour traffic, picking up all the supplies, and then dinner for the kids since I wasn't cooking, and then running back up to Michaels because I was one candle short, I didn't get to started until 9 pm. I didn't get to sleep until 4:30 this morning but I'm finished.
And all of my hardwork is in the gallery if you would like to take a peek.
Gosh, I feel so untalented. I made some candles that I liked -- but now that I see your sets with the paint cans, I am overwhelmed. Just beautiful. And how you got so much done so quickly -- including getting them posted. Wow. I'm in awe. You rock.
Have a happy holiday
