Lightbulb Wrinkled Ribbon Breakthrough!

I was really bummed - I had just bought a new roll of pretty ribbon, but when I went to use it this morning, it was all wavy-wonky on one edge. I knew you could iron it, but I didn't want to drag out the ironing board, fight with the ribbon, etc. Then I had an AHA! moment. I used my hair straightener! Worked like a charm!

There is actually a "ribbon iron" that looks like a flat iron. I have one. I am not sure who makes it, but it is pink. LOL I haven't used it yet, but am hopeful that it works. LOL

That is smart. I use my flat iron for things like that all the time. My favorite is my color or cuffs on shirts when they are wrinkled.

It's made by Pebbles, Inc. ;)

And, I've heard it works like a dream, too!

I actually BOUGHT a hair straightener that was on clearance @ Target for this exact purpose! It was $7.99 and it has 25 different heat levels, and a quick heat up feature. I LOVE it!

I have used my hair straightener before I got the ribbon iron. I love my ribbon iron. I used a 40% coupon at Hobby Lobby to buy it.

Heidi Swapp makes a little pink iron for ribbon. It's so tiny it's cute!

I do too! One of the kids has one that isn't hot enough apparently, but works beautifully for ribbon!

June Cleaver here; I iron ALL my hubby's work clothing . . . but, if I had to iron something, I definitely would rather be ironing ribbon!

Mebbe I should get me one of these . . . All things considered, I'd say I deserve it, no? :p

you can also "hold both ends" and rub over a warm light bulb.-done! no tools to get out and put away.

Regarding the light bulb - yes, it's a GREAT idea, but it wouldn't work for me. ''Housekeeping'' (aka: CLEANING!) isn't exactly one of my strong points. So, if I tried that, I'd end up with one very filthy ribbon. (Yep, I just went and checked a light bulb... enough dust/dirt there to start a garden!)
